Quality mouse pad!
I got this as a replacement for my edge lit only Steelseries XL mat which had decided that it would only send the RGB illumination 10cm or so from the light source. If you want a soft surface this is not for you, however if you want truly impressive RGB illumination throughout your surface this is the surface for you! I did have to adjust the 'lift off' setting for my mouse as it at first refused to recognize that it was on a surface but after that it has worked flawlessly.

Razer: Firefly V2 Pro - RGB Backlit Gaming Mouse Mat
The media could not be loaded. Expensive, but so worth it!🟢 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀:⚪ Comes in a well presented box and is securely packed inside.⚪ Premium quality feel.⚪ Top-notch grip on the base.⚪ Mouse responds well to the mat.⚪ The WHOLE mat lights up! It looks incredible.⚪ USB 2.0 pass-through built into the mat.⚪ Long braided USB-A to USB-C cable included (to power the mat).🟡 𝗡𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹:⚪ A nice handful amount of lighting effects are accessible through the official software, but more could be readily available. You can customise in more detail with the advanced settings, but it's a bit of a learning curve (not the most user friendly).🔴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀:⚪ The basics lighting mode selection lacks options. For example, you can't adjust the speed of the wave lighting effects in the basic mode.Negatives aside, I have no regrets purchasing.

Firefly V2, almost perfect...
So I bought a Razer Firefly V2, this is meant to be Razer's updated version of the first Firefly mousemat, with lots of new features and old ones carried over from the V2's predecessor. The pros of this mousemat would be that the mouse glides perfectly along the mat, and tracking of the sensor is much better, along with Razer Synapse's preset calibration for the mat which is a plus, so you don't have to calibrate everything yourself. The hub has also been moved to the left so it doesn't get in the way while gaming and there's an included mouse catch, so there's no need of a bungee. The chroma is also 3x brighter and brings your setup to life, and lighting preset can be synced with other chroma devices. There are a few problems with this mouse, that make it almost perfect. Such as the surface, the mat features a hard micro-textured plastic surface, which makes the mat durable, and prevents it from creasing. This coating on the previous Firefly however, was known to damage the feet of gaming mice, but I haven't seen this yet. And gliding the mouse along can be quite loud. The mousemat is also very expensive, priced at £49.99 this is surely a premium product. But is a great addition to any setup.

A must for those that love RGB
I am a bit obsessive over the RGB, so this was a great buy to get. It looks great and goes good with the other RGB peripherals that I have. Those that are less enthused about RGB should not bother, but if you are, it is a must :-).One draw back, that I also saw on reviews, is that if you move the mouse fast, you hear it on the plastic. That less bothers me, since I already had the previous Firefly pad.

It's comfy with texture and has rubber gripping at the bottom
My fiance bought me this and I love it!!! I mostly play first person shooter games and the firefly V2 is ideal for both tracking and flicking so it's perfect for me. I looked for a couple of hours for a: large, hard surfaced mouse pad that is at least a known brand- and apparently they don't exist because I only found tacky stuff. But this is a lot bigger than I thought and since I don’t have to move my hand as much compared to my fabric one, it turns out I didn't need a massive one anyway.Pros and cons:+ There's a clip at the top of the pad which let's me tuck my mouse cord so it doesn't keep snagging on things+ The colours are VIBRANT! All my Razer peripherals are colour changing and I'm yet to be disappointed. I haven't changed the default settings in the Razer synapse application but they offer even more choices+ There's only one USB cable rather than multiple like their other peripherals (but I still needed a USB extension cord since Razer likes taking up my ports)- The entire bottom is covered in rubber gripping but it still keeps shifting on my wooden deskI thought the surface would feel gritty like sandpaper since I saw what it looked like online, but it's comfy with texture and within a day it felt smoother than when I first got it which made my mouse perform even better. Just don't forget to recalibrate your mouse plus you may need to install Razer synapse version 3 since I had the original one and it wouldn't work.
