I like the Silhouette mats, they are kind of thin and not as thick as the cricut ones. The are really sticky so I try to get them a little less sticky. And for goodness sakes, I keep putting them in backwards and its cutting my mat instead of my design. I am blonde like that but I like them they work. Even when they are falling apart because I cut the wrong side.

Worked Perfectly with my portrait 2. My old mat was getting dust, dirt, and hair on it, as well as being cracked and etched due to me figuring out my portrait. I was worried the size would be off, but it's identical to the original.

I purchased this cutting mat because when I read the reviews for the Silhouette Portrait (which I purchased at the same time), a lot of reviewers stated that they cut up their first mat. I thought I would purchase this mat in case mine was cut while learning and it is always good to have a second mat. The mat seems to be of good quality as advertised and I will buy again.

Gotta have with the silhouette. Holds the paper perfectly. However when you first take them out of the package, slap it on a shirt because they are too sticky and your paper can tear. But I would rather have it too sticky than not sticky enough.

We have been having a hard time finding a replacement cutting mat the size that we need at the craft stores, so I was excited to see this on Amazon, as we really needed an extra one. This product is exactly the same that came with out kit, and works perfectly with our machine. The price was also a lot cheaper than what you would find at the craft stores. I will be buying all of my products on amazon from now on for these prices.

I read some reviews that said the mat was too sticky and I kept thinking to myself "How could it be TOO STICKY?" That is the part that fails on a cutting mat! So I ordered them anyway and I I think they are a great amount of sticky. Yes, too sticky if you are cutting very thin paper, but the thinnest I cut is 65 lb cardstock. And it cuts my 100 lb cardstock great too (which does need extra sticky to cut right). I have purchased a variety of mats and I am very happy with the stickiness of this mat. It lasts longer than the previous mats that I have had (I cut several sheets a day for my business). The only thing I don't like is that when the mats white layer gets cut it gets stuck to the paper.

Nothing beats the original Silhouette SD cutting mat. I have tried suggested other mats (CriCut, other brands and Quilting Mats). I have scoured Google trying to find other alternatives and always end up purchasing the original. Nothing beats this original Silhouette SD Mat. I never have to reload in order to have the Silhouette SD read registration. This mat lasts the longest when you use it properly (appropriate cut settings, etc. I am going to stick with this mat instead of trying over and over again, without getting better results.

Wish I would have purchased sooner.My old mat was dead, and I was trying all the tricks to get it to make it a bit longer. I don’t know why. This is money well spent!

Works well. These mats can be a little too tacky in the beginning. But rub a clean pillow case over to help reduce a bit of the tack.

This is exactly like the mat originally with the machine. It is incredibly sticky so if you’re using paper or card make sure you “destick” the mat first by patting it with a towel or t-shirt. There is a less sticky mat available but I’ve never tried it.This mat is great quality, my original one lasted over a year with frequent use and I use the blue sheet to keep it covered when not in use. I’ve not tried any other brands of mats so can’t compare them, but unless I need to replace more frequently I’ll stick to the Silhouette ones
