Lockwood and co series 5 books collection set includes titles in this set:- The Screaming Staircase, The Whispering Skull, The Hollow Boy, The Creeping Shadow, The Empty Grave. Description:- The Screaming Staircase For more than fifty years, the country has been affected by a horrifying epidemic of ghosts. A number of Psychic Investigations Agencies have sprung up to destroy the dangerous apparitions. The Whispering Skull Life is never exactly peaceful for Lockwood & Co. Lucy and George are trying to solve the mystery of the talking skull trapped in their ghost jar, while Lockwood is desperate for an exciting new case. The Hollow Boy Lockwood & Co. might be the smallest (some might say shambollic) Psychic Detection Agency in London. But its three agents - Lockwood, Lucy and George - are exceptional Talents. And they get results. When an outbreak of ghostly phenomena grows to terrifying levels in Chelsea, Scotland Yard is left baffled. The Creeping Shadow Lucy has left Lockwood & Co. A freelance operative, she is hiring herself out to other agencies – agencies that might value her ever-improving skills. But now Lockwood needs her help.Penelope Fittes, leader of the well-renowned Fittes Agency wants Lockwood & Co. – and only them – to locate and remove the ‘Source’ for the legendary Brixton Cannibal. The Empty Grave After their recent adventures, the Lockwood & Co team deserve a well-earned break . . . so naturally they decide to risk their lives breaking into a heavily-guarded crypt. A building full of unsettled souls, it’s also the final resting place of Marissa Fittes, the legendary and (supposedly) long-dead ghost hunter. Truly enjoyable series!
I purchased these books after watching the one season in Netflix. The books are even better than the series. This has become one of my all time favorite series. Great storyline, great character, great development throughout the books.

Great series
Bought this series after watching the show on Netflix. The first book was a little slow, but it only got better after that. Great series!

Enjoyable even for adults.
These are young adult science fiction genre. He does like describing everything to the point you just want to skip through those parts but the stories held my attention and I'm a senior. If you like the alternative time line type science fiction you will enjoy these. Be warned there is a lot of blood talked about, some swearing, no sex but they do think about it (not explicit).

Nice books but missing part of the set
Missing one of the books unfortunately but the rest came ordered nice. Unfortunately had to return them as they wouldn’t just send the missing book. I loved the tv series and was upset they cancelled it so I was hoping to finish it by book instead.

Best book series and writer!!
I started watching the Netflix series, ER, I mean, the few episodes and it intrigued me! When I found out the writer is Jonathan Stroud I had to! His Bartimeus series is amazing! I don't think he gets as much praise as he should. Wonderful story! Couldn't put it down!

A very good series
This box set was the first series I read by Jonathan Stroud and it is an absolute delight. Very atmospheric, humorous, and downright scary throughout. Because of this last point, I'd think the series was more appropriate for an older teen, 15+. I enjoyed the series, and was relieved there was a satisfying ending with plot lines and loose ends tied up.
