This review is for a Champs MMA Boxing Reflex 4 Ball Set. Let me start by saying that there is a big advertising push for another boxing reflex set, and it takes a back seat to this set. It comes with the headband, spare strings, four different balls of varying weights for beginners up to experienced, and an app that has a punch counter. This ball set is great for a lot of reasons, it can improve hand-eye coordination, reflexes especially for seniors, and you break a sweat which means that I’m burning calories. The app does a lot more than just count hits, there’s much more to dive into to keep you going athletically and improve your boxing.

Comparing this to other similar products, I'd probably give this one 3 1/2 stars. There's probably $10 worth of equipment, and you could make your own, but it's nice to have this all-in-one package, with 4 different balls and strings all ready to go. The one thing I really don't like about this particular product is the lousy plastic velcro headband. There's no stretch to it. It'd be nice to have something more like a headband. It's just a little more tricky to get it adjusted right. You can also just use a baseball cap turned backwards and loop the string around the adjustable strap on the hat. Other products have a more elastic headband. As for the different balls and strings, I thought the beginner and number 2 balls were the same, and it turns out there pretty much are. It's the strings on them that makes a HUGE difference. The beginner ball is pretty easy to start getting the hang of. I tried the 2nd ball, and it's much harder as the string is tighter/maybe with less elastic, and so it snaps back much quicker. I then tried the two more advanced balls. The big difference there is the heavier ball. If you try and learn on these, it would be fine but is going to hurt more if you whack yourself. I'll never use that number 2 ball, though. Anyway, I don't know how the different balls and strings compare for other products. When looking at videos on these and thinking I could just make my own, it might be tricky to find strings with just the right amount of elastic. It is nice to have all that variety and 4 different balls that are ready to go with this product.

This was a Christmas gift for my grandson to keep him active and get him away from video games. Kept him busy for a little while and it was actually quite entertaining for him to do it.

This will not help with power or speed, mostly just an endurance and focus trainer.

Works just as intended. You don’t have to cut the string to arm length you can just tie it at different lengths and the loop will not become undone. The balls vary in weight and are well made. This is great for hand to eye coordination and it will be hard to hit as a complete beginner, however it will make you better. I recommend using your hand and not boxing gloves so that you can gain more from it. Really great challenge and a good way to work on your foot work as well since the ball will move with you.

First off let me start by saying the set came a week early, and wasn’t damaged and had everything in there and even some extra strings that I wasn’t aware of. With the different difficulty level in the 4 balls anyone can enjoy this whether they are an elementary school child or an actual boxer. Once you start you won’t be able to put it down and once u can keep it going it’s a crazy cardio workout. The black ball is very soft to the point it cannot hurt a child if it hit them in the face and the hardest ball is a little softer than a fist. Even after progressing thru all the difficulty levels I still use all the balls cause I think they all work on different things. For punch speed the softer balls are great cause just a tiny little Tap will get them going very fast and the heavier balls you have to hit harder to get them going and that makes them come back at you faster so you can throw real punches with some power behind them and get a rythym going. I’ll try and post a video of me using the more solid ball here in a second but after hitting the hardest ball for over an hour and the tennis ball for 2 hours right before that I did have to wear some MMA gloves cause my knuckles were getting sore but like I said there’s something to offer for anyone. Little kids above the age of 6-7 that are athletes and even kids younger that are very athletic should use this to develop more advanced hand eye coordination. Very fun and hard to put down and can be used to train, cardio workout, or just for fun.

I bought this product about a month ago. In that month I would say this product is amazing and should be bought I have noticed drastic improvement in cardio along with reaction time. However DO NOT BUY THIS! THIS PRODUCT IS DANGEROUS. For the first ball, black ball this is and the next step up are foam balls but they have this plastic hole protector that has a terrible or cheap amount of adhesive so one or two good punches, this plastic piece will fall out then when you put back in to the ball it will start destroying the ball. Honestly that’s not the worst part, the worst is when you build up enough endurance and strength, which should be relatively quick if you use this product daily for 30 min a day. Once the endurance and strength is built up you will find that the harder balls (tennis and the red slightly harder than a tennis ball) are not too bad and easy to use, the only issue is when you start getting into a Rhythm and start applying power the tennis ball will snap, this will result in the string flying back (no time to react) and will hit you in the face or eye. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS! the product quality is poor which is why I would not recommend this product but one similar with better quality. *UPDATE: the balls are falling apart and the seller is making it right. Once I receive the replacement I will update review

This reflex ball set is a really fun and effective way to train at home, and improve skills relevant for striking. I's definitely tricky to get the hang of at first, but after a bit of practice I was able to get a rally going. The balls and string attached feel super secure, but even if they do come free with wear the set comes with replacement string and instructions on how to repair. The Champs MMA app is also great, it has a function where it can count the number of hits on the ball within 10 or 30 seconds. It uses microphone to do so. Super fun, I highly recommend!

This is a well made and has been great fun to do. It’s definitely worth the money I paid as not as expensive as others on the marketplace. It absolutely gives you a bit of a workout once you get the hang of it.
