Nice book but not a how to.
I was expecting it to be an instruction book on how to do Bob's technique so I was a little disappointed.

Therapeutic and Beautiful Book
This book is so beautiful...filled with pictures of paintings by Bob Ross and quotes with life lessons from his painting show. What a gentle guide for life and I give this book my highest recommendation!!!

Great inspirational book
I bought one for my daughter who is herself an artist and who loved watching Bob Ross when she was younger. The book's Life Lessons are well-written, tying into specifics about the artist's style. Assuming I would enjoy my own copy, I ordered two, one for my daughter, one for me. I have not been disappointed. The pages are good heavy stock, the paintings vivid, text easy to read. An A+++ book, in my opinion.

Not what I thought
First off, don't make the mistake I did and think this is a Bob Ross painting tutorial book. It's a book of his thoughts, sort of rambling along. It's a very nice, peaceful read, but not what I thought. But that's on me. There ARE some lovely paintings by him in the book, if you wanted to try and recreate them, but he doesn't show you how.
