Exceeded Expectations!
I couldn't wait to write this review. I have been covering my 100% gray (white and silver) with henna for decades. My brunette hair started to turn gray in my twenties, due to anemia. Now that the henna is almost grown out, I see the lovey natural color of my gray hair; and wanted to try shampoo and conditioner made specifically for gray hair. I did a lot of online research, looking for very clean ingredients. Ethique shampoo and conditioner bars have far exceeded all expectations. The shampoo lathers up rich and creamy with a pleasant light scent. It cleans my scalp and hair so well (also rinses out well). NO purple stains on sink or shower, clothes or towel. The conditioner is silky and moisturizing. After I dried my hair, it is so light, soft and shiny. Even after just one use I could see the white and silver pop. Looking forward to using daily. This seriously exceeded all my expectations. A very happy customer who highly recommends this product. UPDATE: Almost 3 months later I have used less than half the bar. Lasts a long time! I am just as happy with the product today as I was when I wrote review. Highly recommend.

brightens my greys nicely
I'm in the pool 2 - 3× per week. this moisturizes lightly, and keeps any brassiness at bay. Using this brightens up my Grey hair making it a plus. I'm hyper sensitive to many products and this product leaves my scalp calm. My hair is very fine and dry, so I add oils to my hair separately. I bought a little aerated case to store it in, and it looks like one bar is going to last a long while.

Worth the cost
I have been using bar shampoo and conditioner for several years, but just recently switched to purple toner versions as I grow my gray hair out. I've been disappointed by the available purple bars I've tried until this one: not only is it my favorite purple conditioner bar, it's probably my favorite bar conditioner, period. I have long hair, and the easiest thing I've found to do is to run the bar through my hair a few swipes, roots to ends. Then I distribute it through my hair evenly, and then rinse after about 2 minutes. (Make sure you rinse thoroughly - this is thick conditioner and it leaves a residue if not rinsed out completely.) My hair is tangle-free, full and shiny. Also, the smell is very pleasant, and not overpowering. Seriously - a great product!

Half size bar
Works good. But it is half the size of shampoo bar and cost the same. So not a bargain. Doubt I will buy again.

Worst conditioner bar ever
I hated this purple conditioner bar as much as I hated the shampoo bar. Smells terrible and offered no moisture to my hair. Left my hair feeling dry and frizzy in a way no other product ever has. Simply awful. I’ve used plenty of other shampoo and conditioner bars and this brand is hands down the worst.

Great product - but a couple nits
I love the concept of a product that does not need plastic packaging. This comes in a small cardboard box. It may seem expensive but it lasts a very long time. Now that I've been using it a while, here are my comments: 1. Works well - leaves my hair soft 2. I don't notice that my grey hair is any brighter after using it. 3. Not easy to apply. I rub the bar between my hands and get a little bit rub it in my hair, rub the bar again get a little bit more. It takes time. The downside to that it's two things. First I spend more time in the shower using more water and second I find about twice as much hair in the drain. All that rubbing over and over seems to be making me lose more hair. I also feel that the extra time in the shower partially negates the eco-benefits of the product. My suggestion is to take the bar and set it in some water in a silicone container until it melts into a liquid and then it will be much easier to use and eliminate the issues above. It would be even better if the company makes a liquid version available in waxed cardboard cartons - like the half-pint milk cartons.

Thank goodness for a subtle scent!
This is the second bar conditioner I tried. I love it! The first bar conditioner I tried was heavily scented and smelled up the whole bedroom area of our house. It also left a waxy residue on my hair. Ethique's Brightening Purple conditioner's scent can only be detected up close and rinses away like traditional cream conditioners. It also improved the color of my grey hair. I starting using this with Ethique's Bar Minimum shampoo in hopes it would settle my winter-time dry/itchy scalp. My scalp was better within a week's use.

Love it!
I’m so happy I bought this! I know it’s pricey compared to what other supermarket conditioner costs, but I get so much compliments on the color of my highlights since I started to use it, I also noticed a difference and really love the results I get every time! I wash my hair with the shampoo for volume from the same brand and then use this conditioner. I Did get the soap container (another $18!!) to keep it from melting (I have had it for about a month now and have not even used 1/3 of it, so it is worth the investment! Also the little shampoo and conditioner bars does seem to be economical after all. For reference I have long hair below my chest. Just bought the face wash, deodorant and laundry detergent to try out since my experience was very good with the shampoo and conditioner. Hope this helps! Ps: no dandruff!!! Hair feels much cleaner than ever before! No scents on hair though, I kind miss that…
