Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I will admit that I was apprehensive about purchasing this item. A doll that goes in the bath carried a lot of concerns about cleaning/drying for me. Also the images on Amazon made me question the quality. However, at $7.50, I figured I didn't have much to lose. (Yes, I see the price has since gone up) Also, Playskool had done a nice job with some other bath time toys.We purchased this item because we have a little one who was adamant about taking Elmo along for bath time. Obviously, taking a plush doll into the bath didn't seem like a good option.The nitty gritty (Here's what you're probably wondering):-The quality is better than what the images on Amazon shows-The toy floats - it can't be used as a floatation device obviously but it does float so you don't have to worry about losing it if you bring it to the pool-The doll still was in good condition and retained its vibrant colors after a wash in the washing machine. It also did not lose any of its bulk after a wash (I don't know how it will fair after multiple washes but I'll keep you guys updated)-The toy does dry very well overnight with hanging (I do recommend wringing it out before hanging it up though)Recommendations:-We hang ours on a clothes hanger hung on the shower-head so that anything that drips will drip into the tub-I also recommend really wringing out the Elmo doll before hanging to ensure proper dryingWhen we got the doll, I was pleased that it did look better than in the Amazon pictures. It's not perfect but it's a bath time doll so I wasn't expecting much. Elmo is a little plushy and is made of polyester fibers. So far, our little loves the Elmo doll for the bath. He's pretty easy to dry. We wring out the doll really well and then hang the doll on a clothes hanger by the yellow loop that is attached to Elmo's head. So far, he's dried pretty well but we also don't live in a super humid place. Also, so far, no signs of mold! The colors have stayed fairly vibrant and he didn't lose any bulk when we threw Elmo into the wash. I'll admit we only put him through the wash then hung him dry rather than put him into the dryer but that was because he was pretty dry having gone through the spin cycle.The photos attached are after multiple washes and a machine wash. At the $7.50 price that I got this at, it was a great deal.I'll update here if any issues.

My 5yo is obsessed with this toy in the bath and pool, he puts shaving cream on his head and face and just cracks up. I'm so glad I could ring out the water and reuse it. No smells, no wear and tear no fading. Just brings him endless smiles and giggles. It's the small things in life. No complaints

This toy is extremely fun and entertaining for my 15 month old. The size is just right for him to feel as though he has a friend in the tub. The material is perfect for getting wet, easy to squeeze the water out, and the tab on top makes it easy to hang for further drying. All in all, a great toy for the price.

Elmo is my granddaughters hero and so she has him in her bath. He goes swimming and also needed to bathe with GramGram. No one escapes the presence. It is durable and well made for a child to truly enjoy him in the bath for hours of fun

Okay I love this guy for my daughter. However,he bleeds colors when drying. I personally let her play with him during bath then ring out several times in hot water and hang to dry outside of shower. No mildew issues at all just some color transfer through product.

Although my children have not shown much of an interest in this Elmo bath toy it is a great product! It has a loop at the top making it easy to hang to dry! We have used it numerous times inside in the tub and outside in their water table and it has never developed a musty smell or mold spots! It seems to be pretty durable and has held up well. I would recommend this to parents whose children like Elmo!

GREAT quality and perfect size for toddler to take into bath, pool, water table, beach etc. Fits perfectly in a little childsize backpack as well. We used him to sit next to a dorothy cake (from Elmo's world) at her pool party. As soon as we blew out candles she took him into the pool with her. So happy with this toy. Love the string to hang him up to dry as well.

The baby loves watching Elmo, so this was kind of a no brainer. He really enjoys playing with it in the bath or at the pool. It's not too big but not too small, either, and it dries out really fast. Just squeeze out the water and hang it up to dry for a little while. Love it!

Bought as a gift for a family member with autism. She loves Elmo so much, and this one is perfect to be able to wipe clean after she's given him sips of her drink or bites of her food.A bit smaller than I thought it would be, but that's my own fault as I think the measurements were in the description.

Bought this for our grandson. He loves playing with it in the tub. The only problem is that he loves it so much my son and daughter-in-law now have a hard time getting him out of the bath.
