Motorcycle Detachable Passenger Backrest Sissy Bar with Luggage Rack for Harley Street 750 500 XG750 XG500 2015-2018

Little bit of a PITA to install, recommend going one bolt in front first, then other front bolt, then do the back two. Put them all in loose first, then tighten them up. The threads are 10mm x 1.5 pitch I ended up getting a tap set and cleaning up the holes on the bike firstly before installation. Very happy with the results!

Ok, lets start with missing parts, welds are horrible. Hardware does not fit properly, bolts short for attachment of back rest. No instructions. My opion, dont buy, unless you have a working knowledge of how to make adjustments to product.

Perfect fit

The quality the metal was solid. It didnt quite fit as I would have expected. I needed some rubber grommets between the rack and the bike, I also got two longer bolts to make up the space difference. Once it was on, it was great and looks good to. Strong. The only thing I didn't like was the seat cushion. It was only held on by two screws driven through wood inside cushion. I see this coming off in the near future. One wrong leg over the bike and its off.

It's an OK sissy bar, a little high priced. One of the brackets on the left side was bent inward a little and I had to heat it up to straighten. Was surprised to see that there are no pre-drilled hole placement for the backrest. They supply 2 small self taping screws and I guess this is so you can decide where you want the backrest pad. Replaced the shipped screws with heavier ones. The weld points are ok, seem to be strong enough. All in all it's a nice bar, I just think it's little pricey.

I have to be completely transparent and honest here. Partially as feedback for the seller and partially as a warning for others who looking to buy this. I bought this item and immediately sent the seller a message about missing hardware ETC as mentioned in some reviews. The seller said they would send me backrest as soon as I place the order by the I had already placed the order. I assumed that it would include the hardware. I received the item and realized there was no hardware at all with it. Literally nothing. I was actually pretty pissed. I needed the sissy bar for the weekend to have a passenger on the bike. I went to Lowe's hardware and bought a bunch of 10x1.5 bolts and washers. I got the backrest to fit on. And then I tried my best to get the actual rack to sit on the bike. But it seems like it was not welded correctly. I had to literally press with all my might to get the arms to seat on the bike. It's like they welded it too wide. What the hell is that? I paid a hundred bucks for this crap. Then I messaged the seller again and they let me know that they are sending a backrest for whatever reason, and hardware. Then I looked into the tracking and I realized it's coming from China ?? WTF is that. They said I will get an $8 credit. I think that's ridiculous. I think at most I should have prayed 30 dollars for this junk... Just being real here. So currently I have it mounted with hardware that I had to buy. If the new hardware is better I'll mount it as well. Overall I'm very unimpressed by this item. I thought it would be a direct factory fit and that it would include all the items needed to install it. It came with nothing, and the rack didn't truly fit. I had to make it fit. It was an absolute nightmare. Honestly, I am fine with it as it is. I have large washers, bolts, holding everything in place. It is working. I will say. But I had to figure that out on my own. And now I'm going to wait for some sort of bolts and backrest to come from china. What the heck man. I would like more than an $8 refund honestly. I think this item is only worth $30 at most. I even asked the seller to check the box before shipping that it has everything. That would have saved so much hassle dude. I'm just here shaking my head. It's working out for now, if the hardware is better of course I'll put it on. But seriously, what a ripoff. I thought this was a local USA seller. I'm
