Perfect replacement BUT the existing rubber seal (that comes with original Blue Leaf) is a little smaller in size and therefore while in use with a little water, leaks drop by drop.

A compact grinder with a leaky lid..not good for grinding anything. You really have to be careful with quantity else you will have to clean your kitchen with food spilling over the lid.

It is so difficult for me to write anything negatively but I have to here. The chutney jar looks very much like the Preethi jar that came with the Preethi blender, on the outside. Inside there is significant difference. The blade is projected a few centimeters higher from the bottom surface of the jar. Maybe there is some adjusting I need to do. Although I looked for a set screw or such but there wasn't any. Secondly (perhaps more importantly) the blade is blunt (blunter than the old jar I am replacing). I needed this jar to grind fresh coconut meat so I can make coconut chutney. It does not grind grated coconut or nicely thinly sliced coconut meat. Some of them get caught between the blunt blade and the bottom. I cannot believe I am doing anything wrong because I have been coconut chutney at least 4 times a week all adult my life (30 years) someway or other. So it is disappointing. Hugely. I am praying for the blender to die so I can buy a new blender soon! I cannot grade anything poorly (my problem) and that.s why 3 stars. But then the name of the great man (Gandhi in the sellers business) lets me feel okay. Thanks.
