I buy this product not for the first time. Convenient, fast and you can safe money.

Over the years I have tried many brand's of men's hair color yet all had the look of dye. American Crew got my attention from reading the reviews so I gave it a try in Medium Natural for my brown hair. Having to mix the developer (sold separately) 50/50 with the color wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, a scale helps tremendously. This did not have that awful ammonia smell that many brands have and it was very easy to apply with a hair dye color brush. They suggest 5 minutes for cure time but a minute or two more won't hurt. Color lasts a solid 3 weeks then slowly disappears by the 1 month mark. What I liked most about this product was how natural the color of my hair was and how it blended in with my grey hair. This was the best results I ever had coloring my hair by myself and I will continue to purchase this product in the future.

Finally found a nice natural black/grey cover dye color. I used 20Ml and 20Ml developers mixed well and loved the results. I was looking for an alternative to get me out of "Just for Men" and this is it.

Meaning 'Just For Men' or Clairol maybe. If you have short hair you can probably get 2 uses out of each tube (6 total) - or about $60 worth if using JFM. This product lasts a bit longer as well.Main thing it's much more gentle on your hair, not stripping it like other products. My hair feels soft after application. I used Clairol #20 as an activator, instructions say #15 - either should be fine.So : works better - better for your hair - lasts longer - much cheaper. Mixing and application is no big deal, just mix 1:1 ratio, maybe on the thick side so it doesn't run.

It doesn’t last more than two weeks. Additionally, it irritates your skin significantly. Although it claims to be 'AMMONIA FREE,' but it contains Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate (ALS), which includes an ammonium ion (NH₄⁺) derived from ammonia (NH₃). I do not recommend.

Many of the few barbershops (not effete salons) that do dye jobs for men use this convenient product. I first learned of it from my barber. Then when I moved to a new area, I couldn't find a shop to do the job, so I took it on myself. To use the dye properly, you have to invest in four other things, all available on Amazon: the American Crew developer (the dye will NOT work without it), a mixing cup, and a dye brush (usually plastic with a long, tapered handle), and rubber gloves. Once you have all the equipment in place, it's easy to apply this dye. It may help to have someone brush it on the back of your head, but it is possible to do yourself. Mix it up, leave it on for 10-25 minutes depending on how dark you want the color, shower it off, and you will look 5 to 20 years younger. Of course, you can do your moustache and eyebrows and, if you are really determined to keep your youth, you can even apply it to your chest hair (no one will ever know!)The process is very simple. Put equal parts of the dye and the developer in the mixing cup and use the applicator brush to mix it thoroughly, Then, gentlemen, brush it on, brush it on like you are painting - it's much neater. Don't try to rub it in with your fingers as with the drug store box hair dyes. Once you've applied it, comb through your hair with a regular comb, going backwards and forwards. Then leave it on until you are ready to shower.

I was disappointed that the hair color didn’t cover all the gray hair. Would not recommend.
