Satisfied 100%
It works perfectly fine, produces a great coffee with a lovely crema and it’s so easy to use. Pro tip: pre heat the minipresso first with a bit of hot water

Portable, easy cleaning, good cream
A great and easy way to make espresso, it creates a good cream and is very portable. Somehow, however, the coffee comes a little cold after pumping the coffee out

Best purchase ever!
This thing is one of my favorite things I've ever bought. With being in the digital world- it's amazing to be able to make my favorite drink without electricity. I love this!!! It is by far worth the very modest price!! The crema on the espresso is superb- better than my old electric espresso machine- I now use this in place of that because of the high-quality espresso it makes regardless of being in the house or not.

It Actually Pulls Espresso . . .
So this product is very interesting. It works. I'm not sure how it works, but it does. Now don't think you are going to get a massive pull, like an actual double shot out of it, but you will definitely get the foamy thick espresso texture you're looking for, somewhere between 3/4 of a shot and a full shot. (Which for most people making something at home or on the go is sufficient. The main allure of this product is it's portability, and being able to travel and make espresso (which I have not done yet). And I think it could work, but you'd have to make sure you have the ability to boil water if you're hiking or something. The main way people will probably use this, is if they are visiting family and friends and really want espresso, they can just use this portable maker. I bought this because my wife likes to make espresso tonic, but that's not enough to buy a fancy expensive machine. The main con with this espresso maker is that it really can't handle that much pressure. There is a section where you put the fine grinds, and then on the opposite side, you put your boiling water in a little tank that connect to the pressure cage (and then you essentially pump hot water through the grounds, and it filters out the other side of the container). This actually took me a second to figure out - the instructions were not clear that you have to flip the container, but luckily I found the video before I started pressing the pump. But back to the pressure: if you fill the little container full of grounds, tamper it down, and then go - it will be too full, and when the coffee expands, the water can't actually seep through to the other side. This has happened to us several times, and we finally figured out that you have to really hang back on how much coffee you use in the little chamber, I'd go for filling it up half-way, tampering it down, and then trying it, just don't try to pack it tight. All in all, it's pretty cool, and we'll keep using it. We'll see if it gets worn out or still works in a few months.

Incredible!
Damn, for a device that does not run on electricity or batteries, this makes some really ASTONISHING espressso coffee! The instructions on the box itself was super easy to understand. Got some french roast coffee powder and hot water ready, and started pumping out espresso coffee within minutes of receiving the box through Amazon! Easy to tell that coffee is coming out as you feel extra pressure on the device and the pump. You will know its done when the pressure gets back to being 'too easy'. The flavor of the coffee is dictated by the coffee powder used and my french roast espresso turned out super tasty! Cleaning this device was a breeze as you run everything under water. And once done, the device is put back in its original shape and its a very tiny looking cylinder thats driven by manual power to brew coffee! HUGE highlight for traveling and for times when you need a quick coffee fix and you are not near a coffee maker or a coffee shop.

Good for camping.
Used this several times. Need to let cool down between uses so bottom can be removed. Used on canoe camping trip. Worked well.

Makes good espresso
Bought this thinking it probably would not work. Unboxing and settling up were fiddley but ok . I was surprised to discover that it did produce espresso . Family also liked it and granddaughter so pleased that it went back to college with her. She uses it daily Product exceeded my expectations

Good idea, not so good execution
I had the original GR for few years and too bad it fell and broke, cause it was a better machine than this one. This one is easier to pump, but it just squirts water from the sides of the lever/piston and I assume that's how it looses pressure and doesn't make good espresso. I had a similar problem with a Nanopresso as well which I returned to a local seller here in my country before I ordered this one. I added a piston ring and food-safe lubricant to the piston inside, and there's no leak and it makes good coffee but it's a bit harder to pump. I'm giving it a low rating cause mine didn't work as well out of the box as the GR version which served me for years, and I needed to order extra stuff to make it squeeze proper espresso.

This device has a quite narrow and specific target market. People who are serious enough coffee snobs that they want to be able to pull an espresso shot in the middle of nowhere. People for whom plungers, or even mocha pots aren't good enough, they are such insufferable coffee snobs that they have to have espresso. Obviously, I fall squarely in this target market. Using the device isn't terribly easy or quick, but I suspect that can't be avoided. Espresso needs hot water, finely ground coffee and high pressure. To get those to combine in a quite reasonably priced, 300g device isn't terribly easy. However, it isn't overly difficult and with a small amount of practice you will be pumping out shots of high quality coffee. The only real niggle I have is the size of the coffee basket. At a mere 8g, to get a decently strong coffee, you need to do 2 shots, which is quite a faff around. As such, you are not going to volunteer to make a coffee for anyone else and yourself. Again however, I suspect that's almost certainly a limitation imposed the requirements to make an espresso. In summation, it's quite small; reasonably priced and makes excellent espresso. After about 1 month, I'm particularly happy with it. If anything pops up to change my mind, I'll update this review. Update: It's been over 12 months and it's still excellent. I travel a lot, and being able to get real coffee anywhere really makes my life better. Thanks for the product guys.

I bought this about a month ago and wanted to wait to write a review until I'd used it for a while. I was slightly nervous of buying it because of the price, but I have to say that I'm really impressed. I work in an office in central London where all the surrounding chain cafes turn out so-so espresso for between £1.50-2.00/shot, and was fed up of that. This really has solved that issue and pretty soon I'll break even on the investment of buying it vs the cost of buying coffees out all the time. It's a really, really small and nifty device, extremely quick and easy to use and clean, and crucially - makes very good espresso, easily as good if not better than the espresso sold in many cafes. Yes, it takes a few days to get used to, and without question it won't suit everyone; it is a (bit) messy and requires careful cleaning to get the best from it, and if you're looking for espresso right up there like that from a proper machine, sure you'll be disappointed - but this is basically a 20cm long bike pump that makes coffee, so give it a break! All I can say is that it works well for me and really is quick and easy to use, allows you to select your own coffee type of choice, and so to my mind is well worth it. I now use it at least daily, if not twice a day, during the working week, and envisage my taking it on holiday too: I could imagine anyone who regularly goes camping, etc. finding it especially useful.
