Loved hearing the contrast of the two playings. I knew his first recording which I loved for years but now prefer his later, slower interpretation. which was new to me.To me Glen Gould is my Bach god. I have every recording now that he has ever made..

The fact that a 22 year old could do this piece of Bach so expertly says a lot about his extraordinary talent .

I remember hearing Glenn Gould playing Bach when I was a kid, on the telly. His skill and sheer understanding of the depth of the music is breathtaking. I'd waited a very long time for these recordings to be released. I know they are the same performances I heard a long time ago, as I can hear him mumbling along. God bless! No one outside of J.S.Bach himself could have played like this.
