Well Thought Out, Better Than Rexing V1 4K
If I had to describe this dashcam in one phrase, it would be “well thought out”. The physical design is one of the best on the market, with a very logical button placement, and distinct, clear labels. I love that the GPS unit and power are integrated into the window mount, eliminating the need to have usb cords sticking out of the side of the camera. Physical design had a big influence over which dashcam I ultimately chose, as it’s going to be mounted in my field of view and used on a regular basis. The A129Pro is certainly one of the best designs on the market when it comes to that. Also, included in the box is a super thick & long power cable, 12v dual USB charger, extra adhesive mounts, and a trim tool.Picture quality was also a deciding factor in my dashcam purchase, and I’m happy to report the A129 Pro is sharper than my previous Rexing V1 4K when it comes to resolving plate information during the day. The image quality at night is also very impressive. In some review videos of the A129 Pro, it looked like the night footage had a slight purple tint, which is often produced by cameras with a cheap image sensor. This was a worry, as I do a lot of driving at night. However in all my testing and usage, this was not the case — night footage looks totally acceptable with no weird color shifting! It has better low light performance than my previous Rexing V1 4K, hands down. The user interface is also very well rounded. The menu items are thoughtfully organized, and it has some useful features such as parking mode and motion sensing. I’m currently running this camera solo in full 4K and leaving it running 24/7 and it has been doing great. But it’s nice to have the option to add a rear camera in the future.Viofo’s mobile app seems to work better than Rexing’s app too, which is an important part of the dashcam user experience. It’s also easier to turn on WiFi on the A129Pro, and you can transfer full 4K files onto your mobile device no problem. (Whereas the Rexing only supported mobile transfers of 1440p max resolution.)One issue I had when first reviewing footage from the A129Pro from the SD card on my computer was playback of the clips in Quicktime. Despite watching them on a brand new high-spec MacBook Pro, the dashcam videos played as though they had been recorded in two frames per second, even though the cam was set to 4k30fps. Upon further research, other people had this issue too. The solution is to change the camera from H.264 to H.265 video codec, which is more modern, space efficient, and plays back smoothly in QuickTime. Or alternatively, if you prefer to record in H.264, play the files using VLC instead of QuickTime to alleviate the issue with video playback lagging. Aside from this one hiccup, the A129Pro has been a pain free experience. I would definitely buy this again to install in another vehicle over the Rexing 4K!

Worth the upgrade from A129 (1080p)
I upgraded from the A129 to the A129 Pro and glad that I did. The resolution of the front camera is much better for getting plate detail. I have heard others comment on night time visibility being less with 4k, but I was surprised to find that under most all conditions the picture was bright. I live in a rural area and I can see good detail with just headlights. The audio is better and can capture audio from outside the car, great for traffic stops or when talking to people that are next to your car. The only downside to 4K is the file size is huge, so you will want to have a plan for storage. The pc connection for data transfer works great for this. I plan on setting up a computer on a stick in the car that will connect to home Wi-Fi or connected to a portable hard drive so I can transfer files— In my situation, I need to save 60 days of recordings. I use a 256gig SD card and figure it can save 6+ hours of recording both cameras at a high bit rate. This is more than enough for the average user or you can just transfer the files via the PC connection or Wi-Fi. I have never had an issue or delay with GPS location or speed. The metadata saved is not proprietary and compatible with a few dashcam viewers.Every time I contacted support I got a reply within 24 hours. They were helpful, detailed and responsive. The manufacture appears to be active on several forums. I have seen them implement features and firmware changes in response to forum members.

Great dashcam
I am happy to say that this dashcam performs just as the numerous reviews I’ve watched on YouTube state. The picture quality is great and the value compared to other (real 4K) cameras is even better. My advice to anyone looking for a 4K dashcam is to make sure the camera has a 8MP or better image sensor. Many, and I mean many dashcams advertised as 4K cameras with ridiculously cheap prices are not true 4K cameras. They record at lower resolutions and upscale the image. These cameras will result in an image the size of a 4K video but not the quality. With that being said, I do recommend this camera.

I was really surprised!
This camera is one of the most awesome cams in the business. The photos are extremely clear, even at night. So.e kids tried to brake in my truck and you can clearly see there faces. Not only can you see there faces, but it give you the time and GPS coordinates too. If only there were a way to view live footage from the comfort of your home without paying a subscription!

Bad cam
The camera is ok but the app is very very bad.UpdateThe camera has stopped working, it doesn’t record anymore I called amazon and I was told am out of exchanging time, so they will call me the next day so we can call the seller together and am still waiting for amazon to call me, which am not sure they will since it’s been a day and half since they promised to call. This is not the first time Amazon has failed calling as they promised.08/15/2020Amazon took a good step in replacing the device for me, but still had no luck. Device doesn't work properly, not sure if it got something to do with the heat or not I live in Arizona and most of the times we over 100° This camera gives me partial recording. I get home from a trip thinking I should have full recording of my trip but that's not all ways the issue. I called the company they told me it might be the SD we troubleshoot it was good. I can't tell what the problem is but to me this dashcam is not good.

Works in the Florida sun/heat/humidity
I've had the A129 Pro in my car for just over two years now (Jan 2022 purchase). Car is not garaged, it sits outside in the Florida sun and has never failed to perform for me. I'll be moving it from a red car to a black truck soon. Will see if the Florida sun/heat combo in a black vehicle overcomes the device, or it keeps on working. For now, I'm happy to recommend the product.
