Really nice hamper!
I waited months after buying this to review it because I wanted to be sure I wasn't going to see the issues others have (and in that time the one-star reviews seem to have vanished?). Whatever happened to them, I'm happy to report my experience with this hamper has been wonderful. On my first use, it got a small tear in the side, and I said to myself "Uh oh, all those other reviews were right", but it never got any bigger and in dozens of uses did not rip again, the wheels didn't fall off, none of the previously reviewed issues happened. It's a dream to pull along. Even full, it glides like it's on ice. It's silly to love a hamper, but after having to lug my clothing to a laundry place for so long, it's so nice to have the trip be made easier. It folds flat for storage -- takes so little room! Yet when expanded it's plenty big. I really, really like this hamper. I'll buy another of this kind if this one ever is damaged so badly I can't keep using it.

But I hope it stops anyone from buying this worthless piece of garbage. We really deserve better in our society
I bought this to replace the same item I bought in 2010. After a few years of weekly trips, packed full of laundry, the wheels were loose and the fabric had ripped around the base. I figured I could afford to get a new one and use it for a couple of years. I WAS WRONG. Perhaps the reason that Bed, Bath & Beyond no longer sells this item, is because of the marked decrease in quality. Every aspect of this product was inferior to the old one. The old one had an adjustable strap with a detachable buckle. This strap is one piece of lighter weight material, and it snapped off the hamper when I accidentally stepped on it (because it's not adjustable, it drags on the floor). At the same time, the loop for the button that keeps it closed in its collapsed state, also ripped out. This loop, as well as every bit of mesh, plastic, and nylon on the product is of a lesser quality that the old one. It's even shorter! It's so cheaply made, and is the same price. It's not worth my time to return it. It's barely worth my time to write this review. But I hope it stops anyone from buying this worthless piece of garbage. We really deserve better in our society, than to keep buying cheaply made goods that wind up in the trash sooner rather than later.

Talk about durable!
I have owned one of these hampers for many years. 2 years ago, I moved into a 2 story home which created a need to take clothes from upstairs to downstairs. I happen to be a very lazy person, and decided one day that I would simply push the hamper down the stairs. It would tumble over and over from the wheels to the top. Eventually after 2 years, the wheels finally broke off (what more would you expect from such rough treatment?), which is what brings me to Amazon to purchase another one of these tank of a hampers.

New Major inconvenient Design Flaw- Update, We are hard on them but they only last us 1 year before completely coming apart
Update: 9/7/2013 -- We are probably really hard on the Honey-Do. My partner now lives in a continuing care facility and I do his laundry by getting it from where he is and bringing it home. We have 2 of the Honey-do's and 1 as a back-up. It is true that the Hamper is completely full when I take it home. It also has to be lifted up, sideways to get into the car's hatch back and again the same to get it out when I get home. Every one that is 10-12 months old has fallen apart to the point of un-usability. The material tears where the metal band is; the wheels come off, the loop to tie the item down when not in use keeps getting caught in the wheels and usually eventually tears. One wheel of one came unscrewed and was lost completely, I am back here to buy 6th one. I do so because despite the fragility of the item -- its cost is not that high and as I describe in my review -- until it falls apart -- it works amazingly well. A lot of the problems could be solved with some simple design corrections: don't place the loops to tie down the hamper at the exact same spot as the wheels, they inevitably get tangled u in it. Use stronger material -- the material you use is so thin and un-sturdy, it starts to shred in a matter of a couple of months. Even the handle strap does. The screws come loose too easily. I am constantly tightening them - and as I said, one time when I did not catch that screw was loose, we lost a wheel. I had to throw the item out -- though it was already torn almost everywhere there was the metal band. But the basic design is fabulous. When it is new it works so easily and wonderfully. It makes the whole chore so much easier. Below is the original review: This item is incredible! It works fantastically in all the positive ways previous reviewers have said -- so I will not repeat those remarks here. The company did indeed listen to the criticism about the wheels and the ones I have (I have 3) have the new design that company stated here they would do. But here is another one -- it is not fatal, which is why I give this 3 stars and it is easily correctable which is why I am posting this here in hopes the company will see it. What make the Pop-up pop up is the fact that you can collapse the spring and basically make the item essentially flat to store until you need it again Unfortunately -- as I have discovered with the oldest one I bought (which is less than 3 months old) is that the tie that the hook loops into (I can't figure out a better way to describe it) is placed right at the edge right next to the wheel And since the "tie" is really a loop it gets caught in the wheel and gets twisted around it so you can't get it off. Hence no more capacity to collapse the item because you can't "tie" it down. This can easily be fixed by moving the tying mechanism to another place on the circumference of the bottom -in between the 3 wheels. Hope the manufacturer sees this and fixes it. I have to throw out the first one I bought now.

work for what I need
This is my second hamper. The first one was purchased from bed bath and beyond. The quality has gone down slightly as the wires spiraling up to hold up the hamper are now thinner and it doesn't stand up as well. This was a big disappointment as I used to be able to drape a pare of shorts or t-shirt on the side and it would stand up no problem. Now the whole thing falls under the weight. However its not a big enough reason to return it. I like it for the fact that it has both a shoulder strap and wheels. This makes living in an apartment and taking laundry to the basement (laundry mat) a lot easier.

The strap broke during the first use.
The strap used for pulling the hamper ripped apart during the first use. I loaded the hamper up to the maximum capacity (four laundry loads) and walked for 10 minutes to my laundromat. Dragging the hamper across the street was both embarrassing and difficult, because of how very unstable the hamper is. After my laundry was completed, I reloaded my clean laundry and dragged the hamper back to my residence for 10 minutes. During my walk the strap began to tear near the bottom of the hamper, and eventually separated into two strips. My unit was probably not defective at all, the problem is the strap is so weakly attached to the hamper. The company cheaped out on the most important part of the product, besides the wheels. Week two and two of the wheels have broken. Needed to cut the straps near the bottom of the hamper because they were dragging with the wheels. This is a terrible product.

Flimsy Construction -- Falls Apart Easily
The hampers made by Honey-Can-Do are flimsy -- the materials are cheap, the construction is poor, and the hamper falls apart easily and quickly. I have to buy this because it's the only one of its type and space is a commodity in my small home. The issues, after 1-3 months, one or more of the following things happen: the middle wheel falls off because it's not secured with the appropriate size washer/nuts/bolt, the side wheel falls off, the spiraling "wire" (for the lack of a better term" pokes out at either the top or at the bottom (if it's at the bottom, it scrapes the floors (beware!)/sidewalks and is hard to get fully back into place where it's fully covered. Three times a wheel came off shortly after I took the hamper out of the box because the screw was not screwed tight enough. So when I get a new one ever 4-6 months, I make sure to screw the wheels tightly. Sigh. I used to buy this at a chain store called Linens N Things and the constructionw as way better ... this hamper would last me 3 years.

Great Hamper
I bought this hamper for the linens but my husband liked it so much he stole it from me. We live in an apartment. Our washer is down the hall from us, and this hamper is perfect for transporting heavy clothes. It's big: it holds at least 2 loads, and the strap makes it easy to pull along behind you. You could use the strap to carry it on your back, i guess, but I couldn't lift 2 loads of laundry regardless of how you were transporting. The pouch is good for carrying detergent and laundry tokens with you. The bottom is sturdy and so are the wheels. Because of the wheels, it doesn't get scuffed up on the bottom from dragging like other hampers, and the wheels have good spin and are easy to maneuver. The netting on top keeps socks from blowing away on the trip back. Over all, there's been no downside for me, except that my husband took it so I'll have to buy another one. :)

Good product
I live on the second floor of an apartment building & am currently pregnant. The wheels make laundry much easier to do. I also like the zip-up pocket where I can store my laundry card. It's not really a "sturdy" hamper by nature but I haven't had any problems with ripping. It stays popped up unless clothing is draped over the sides.

Fell apart on first use!
Wheels fell off, and seams split in a week. Terrible.

Good buy
Plenty of room, separate bag is useful. wheels aren't great for winter travel to the laundromat, shoulder strap is a fail, needs a padded piece to prevent it from cutting into the shoulder.
