I recently purchased Brieftons 10-Blade Vegetable Spiralizer and it really is a super kitchen gadget. It is easy to use, versatile and easy to store. Because it is manually operated it can be used outside to prepare salads etc so you can still be part of the fun. Hi Everyone, Well in this new kind of normal our attention span is heightened, well mine certainly is; hence the extensive product testing. Boy do I need a pub or restaurant ASAP!! As you can see from my photo, after testing each blade I've given the product 5 stars. There's a few annoying bits that I mention later but nothing too much that I would steer away from a 5. Firstly the product feels sturdy and properly manufactured if that is such a thing. All the components feel good quality and fit together perfectly (apart from the lid see further down). Each blade slots into the base securely and having testing each one, provides an exciting array of shapes, spirals and designs that would liven up any dinner plate. The base has a suction cup which is very secure, I tried it on a standard kitchen top and couldn't make it budge despite my best efforts. The product is very easy to use, clean and pack away afterwards; I like it that you can store 3 blades on the unit ready for use and pack the others away in their own holder for that special meal. I particularly liked the recipe section in the instructions, it gave me some great ideas and I had no idea how many things you could spiralize and how long those vegetables would last in a fridge once cut. I would like to finish with those couple of niggles I mentioned at the start, like I said very minor and should detract from the fact this is a well built, very practical product. The two silly things: like when removing the sticky tape covering the blades for transport, some of the glue remained which was a little tricky to get off. The lid on the large plastic tray that you get to catch the peelings in doesn't fit properly, it pops off slightly in one corner but not a problem really.

Product is extremely well made. Everything slots together nicely. Good range of blades to choose from that can be very safely stored. Easy to use with good results if you follow the clear instructions that come with the book. Made slaw for first use. As the instructions say, it is important to centre the vegetable properly to avoid half moon shapes. Used the spiraliser successfully on large straight carrots, cucumber and a big red cabbage. There are a lot more 'bits' to wash than a normal Mandolin but that's because you have more blade options to choose from and the spiraliser is so much quicker to cut vegetables and produces prettier results. Very pleased with overall quality and ease of use.

This is a delightful and amusing, piece of kitchen ware. It is thoughtfully designed, strong and, very well made. Being hand operated is a joy (doesn’t require an app!) and is very safe for children to use, supervised, of course. I was tempted to knock off a star, simply because, of the pain caused by laughing at having produced Courgette spaghetti in 1.5 metre lengths!!! Proper value for money, thank you.

I have only just received this addition to what I already considered to be a well equipped kitchen. Now surely I have the lot. It will take a long time to try all of the alternatives, from crinkly chips to 'lasagne' and 'linguine' but sometimes first impressions are worth recording. My Brieftons 10 Blade Spiralizer not only came well packed, but is designed to keep its footprint in the kitchen to a minimum. The ten 'blades,' which are clearly labled for identification, safely file away in a sturdy transparent box, or in 'drawers' built into the body of the Spiralizer. The blades seem to be very sharp, so this is an important safety design feature worthy of mention. Suction pads can cause frustration but Brieftons seem to have come up with a system which works very well. I imagine that different work top surfaces provide different challenges, so I cannot vouch for all, but my own varied experiences of different products suggests that this is one of the best for grip which I have encountered. I had no difficulty assembling the parts which came separately in the box. It is all very straightforward. The proof of the pudding will be in the spiralizing and I can only tantalise by saying that tonight I plan crinkle cut chips and roasted papparadele root vegetables with my steak, followed by baked ribbons of apple with cranberries and clotted cream icecream. Bon appetit, mes amis. P.S. Really easy to use and my meal was everything I had expected it to be. Very glad I made this purchase. Have also now checked out the website and downloaded the numerous ebooks. Taking it all together, it is great value.

Pros - blades are super sharp - lot of options to use it with - suction works great on glass surfaces but doesn't really need it unless you put a lot of force in - pretty easy to clean apart from the base - includes a container to spiralize into Cons - I haven't found any yet for me personally I don't really know what to say other than this thing saves me so much time in preparing veg for meals.. What takes me about 3-5 minutes to cut an onion into thin small bits takes me less than a minute now. Sure it takes longer to wash up as there's more than just a knife. I'd rather spend less time using this sort of thing for onions as the amount of time it takes with a knife to cut the onions how I like (I'm not very efficient with a knife) I end up with watering eyes and then that takes a while to clear. If you're going to prep a load of different veg for a meal, this this will more than make it useful to use this in prep time. It's just so quick to use and exchange blades.. It does excellent and I use it all the time. Cannot recommend this this enough in my experience!

This is a great addition to the kitchen toolkit. We came to spiralizing etc late. Never tried the pre-bought stuff and didn’t think there would be much point. But spiralized courgette really is a good replacement for spaghetti. It has a similar texture so carries the sauces. But is much lighter to digest. As well as much lower calories, few carbs etc. it’s also quick to prep and cook. The spiralizer is simple to use. It’s light and easy to manage. It has a suction base which fixes it securely to our wood worktop. Loads of blades and is no effort to turn. Storage is good considering the extra blade box is part of it. I will be looking at recipes for other veg and shapes. As I think it is making everything lighter and more digestible. And now if we think to have pasta I will reach for this.

I absolutely love this spiralizer, it's very well made, sturdy and has a great variety of blades for making noodles and ribbons. So far I've tried it with carrot, sweet potato, courgette and celeriac and it's done a brilliant job with all of them. I've seen a few reviews that said the suction isn't very good but I have to disagree, mine practically welds itself to the worktop and gives a fantastic firm base to work from. I love that there are so many different blades and that they're all labelled for ease of use and can all be stored in the unit for nice, tidy storage. Even better though is the support and after sales care from Brieftons themselves. Not only do they provide downloads for several really useful recipe books, they keep in touch to make sure you're completely happy with the unit and have a website with lots of tutorial videos to help you make the most of it, very impressive! All in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this little beauty, we're definitely having a spiralizing revival in our house!!
