Is this product just the tank or does it have gas?

Just tank We only sale empty cylinders

On receipt, this acetylene cylinder looked 100%. It SHOULD be DOT certified. I’m a commercial refrigeration tech, and we go through a lot of acetylene. We get it all through our local HVACR distributor-we swap our empties (which, of course, these bottles are) for full ones and the distributor swaps these with the local ‘gas company.’ So we are used to not inspecting the bottles for a DOT imprint and I’m sure our distributor doesn’t either. One would think the company that actually fills/refills these has to check them first. If a non DOT bottle showed up on their end, they SHOULD complain to our supplier? But I’m not sure our guy would actually know who turned in a non-compliant empty? In any event, we’ve never heard of an issue, so I am defaulting to ‘this must be DOT compliant!’
