yes, 2 wires, rated up to 12.5 amps which is 3000 watts at 240 volts

Q: is this comparable with fan-forced 220V wall heater?

No this thermostat is really for resistive loads only. It is not for a wall heater that has a fan.

Q: 1. Does this work on 120 volts? 2. For fan heaters, is the variable power feature turned to maximum, so it is simply in on/off mode?

Simple hook up with two wires for 110 or 220 volts ac. I don't know about the operation of the fan. For us It normally runs our base board heaters in 25% increments. Unless the room temp is really cold then it turns on 100%. The back lit feature is a must!

The Honeywell TH108PLUS/U Electric Heating Non-Programmable Thermostat with Backlight is designed to control an electric heating system such as a baseboard heater, a convector or a fan-forced heater. The thermostat CANNOT be used with a resistive load under 2 A, resistive load over 12.5 A, a system driven by a contactor or a relay (inductive load), or a central heating system.
