KAI7250SE 10 Inch Serrated Professional Shears

I’m a professional patternmaker and costume maker (20 yrs working and 2 degrees in the field), and I had been looking for scissors to replace my Ginghers as their quality has sharply decreased since being bought out by Fiskars. Kai scissors are the only scissors I buy now, the sharpness stays through years of cutting! I have not sharpened my first pair yet and have had them for 6 years (they are absolutely due for a sharpening, but they’re still doing an amazing job!). I have several varieties of Kais and I love all of them. The angle is much better and more comfortable for my hand and wrist, and makes hours of cutting much easier. The padding on the handles is soft enough to provide comfort without sacrificing accuracy while using.

This scissors are great. They hold an edge very well and are comfortable in your hand. I have purchased several pairs in different sizes and they are all good.

I do a lot of leather work, lots of holsters that have tight curves. I use these to cut 6-8oz leather regularly

I am a professional Rigger, meaning 100% of my paycheck comes from selling and splicing rope, and I use these every day, all day. I absolutely LOVE them. The D-20 Splicers are garbage by comparison. I love the power that the design creates, and the large openings that fit my hands, which as a big guy can be a problem, especially for my thumb. Again, I have to pull the D-20 Splicers off my thumb instead of just setting them down like I can do with my Kai's. And although I use my Myerchin Generation 2 Pro Wood Rig Knife for most Dyneema products, they cut through lines like Amsteel just fine. I can sharpen my Myerchin easier, however, so I save my Kai's for Sta-Set, 3 Strand and Mega Braid and related lines. An excellent product that has all my co-workers in Rig Shop jealous. If you in a profession that uses scissors, these are on a whole other level than anything I have ever used.

These are the best shears I have ever owned from a cutting perspective. They rust too easily, because of this, I’m not sure if I would buy them again

I bought my first pair of Kai professional shears without the serrated edge, and then bought this pair for cutting knits and slippery fabrics. Oh my, these shears have just enough heft to feel good in my hands and they cut through fabric with ease. (Now I need to work more on steading my hands!) I like my Kai shears so much that I gave all my other miscellaneous shears away!

I have been sewing for over 50 years, always using professional scissors from good brands that I have regularly sharpened. I've been hearing about Kai scissors and thought I would get a large pair for cutting out after making a coat where my scissors seemed to be chewing the fabric. I asked for these for my birthday and they will be the gift that keeps on giving me pleasure for years. It's like night and day! These have nice long blades for the straight and curved cuts and when I have to cut around armholes I use the tips--about two inches worth--and they easily cut exactly on the line. They make me so HAPPY.
