This wheel should work with a barracuda. Please note it will not eliminate the clutch, or convert to Posi Pin without further retrofit of your machine. But it will work in place of the existing barracuda balance wheel, and will decrease speed, increasing power and control.

Q: Will this work on the sewline slp 106?

Although this balance wheel is for the Ultrafeed model, it will likely work on the SLP 106. Compatibility is likely, but not guaranteed. Please note that your sewline sewing machine does not have the Posi-Pin system, so you will either need to lock the balance wheel to the shaft using the included set screws, or will still encounter the same clutch slippage when sewing heavy materials.

The Posi Pin retrofit for older Sailrite Ultrafeed sewing machines can be performed on most clone machines such as the barracuda. There is a video outlining this process and necessary components on the Sailrite website. Note, the posi pin system will only work with Sailrite balance wheels such as the Monster II balance wheel.

Q: Will this work with the Rex RX-607?

The monster balance wheel should work on the Rex RX-607 being that it is a clone of our V1 machine assuming they have not made any changes to the drive assembly. It will not make your machine a posi pin machine. it does include set screws so that you can lock the wheel to the friction clutch shaft.
