I’m a size 16 in pants and I’m wondering what size would fit best?

I bought a size XXL. Wore it yesterday and was comfortable! No pinching or binding, and no roll down. And I looked smooth. I normally wear a 14-16 in pants also.

I would definitely recommend XL especially if you carry much of your weight around your mid-section. You will be much more comfortable and get good results.

What size fits 260 pounds?

Not really sure. I bought the xl and I am petite at 180. I used the same size as I wear in clothes.

Call first to see if your Ross or Marshall’s have reopened their dressing rooms. In my area of the world, dressing rooms are not open. Nordstrom’s, Macy’s, and Dillard’s had trained fitting techs beforethe Pandemic restrictions. Call to see if their dressing rooms are open. JC Pennys n my area shut down as did Sears. I have been using measuring tape and Amazon’s feature where some vendors let customer try before they buy like stores did back in the days of paper catalogs. One of my favorite plus size stores called Avenue shut down in my area. Lane Bryant has fitting techs in some of their stores. These places give you your measures and help you find features that you like in garments. I usually buy from the stores that helped me get fitted. During pandemic restrictions, I turned to Amazon’s digital shopping mall with a small measure of success. I see the software getting better at helping plus sized women. Yes I did write some heated emails. Did they listen to me? Probably not. Did they listen to more than me? Probably. Your question is excellent and proves that vendors and Amazon need to work together more closely for predicting our questions. The real issue is body shape. People can have the same weight and height but not the same body shape. I’d like to see a search for the body type of the reviewers. This product likely works perfectly for some body types but not others. I hope you will return to this area to tell us what you learned. I’m still thinking about the product.

Holds up very well

I loved this bra! I wore it as a strapless and it held up like a pushup bra. I have been telling everyone to grab it because I have a hard time finding good ones in general. I loved it so much I wanted to wear it as a top. My back did hurt a little by the end of the night but I could have loosened it up. I purchased my normal size and it wad perfect. I ordered a 38DD

Comfort is subjective

Actually is a great undergarment. Not bulky like your grandmothers girdles were. There are no panty lines and it is a soft texture. Comfort is subjective and I found this garment made me feel restrictive and made me aware of every breath i took. Although many ladies I know like this garment. I am at an age that i want to feel free, I like breathing and I don't want to feel jammed packed into a garment.

Not the best

I ordered two and they were not exactly the same when looking at them. Not sure if I was sent an old style and new style as to why they looked different. However the legs rolled up on both with my skirts on. I have never has this occur with anything that I ordered tjat are longer. I will not order these again

Beware Amazon description NOT correct fabric makeup as direct from Shapermint; lower strength

I already had 2 of these that I had gotten directly from Shapermint’s website. I LOVED those! So I saw these offered here on Amazon, and to the naked eye look like the exact same thing: same legit Brand name, same product name, same fabric description, etc. BUT when I received this from Amazon, the feel of the fabric and fit were NOT the same as my original Shapermints that I already had and had fallen in love with. These ones from Amazon fit much looser, and the fabric felt thinner and less “sturdy”/thick. Basically the quality and “hold” strength felt very sub-par what I was used to from my originals from the Shapermint site. Upon further inspection, I realized the Amazon Shapermint fabric material was actually 90% Polyamide & 10% Elastane. This is DIFFERENT from the ‘same’ products available direct from Shapermint. The ones direct from Shapermint are made of Nylon & Spandex = so I was correct in that the direct Shapermint ones were indeed a lot thicker and that material held tighter and felt a lot more of substantial quality. However, Amazon’s description of the fabric makeup listed theirs as indeed Nylon/Spandex - This was WRONG and misleading. The ones ordered from Amazon are really Polyamide/Elastane. Just beware. If you’re looking for a quality feel, and sturdier fit, order directly from Shapermint. I included pics here of what the one I received from Amazon: Polyamide/Elastane in reality, even though the description incorrectly states Nylon/Spandex. I much prefer the sturdier and higher quality Nylon/Spandex ones, so I returned the Polyamide/Elastane ones back to Amazon, and re-ordered the higher quality ones directly from Shapermint - received those and am much much happier!

Flattening, but not cinching. Not worth the high price point

I bought this for my graduation pictures and I had a tight dress that I was wearing this under. It looked kind of bulky underneath. It didn't really *cinch* anything - it just flattened me. Not the most effective if you're wanting to look "snatched." But solid choice nonetheless. I just don't like how it was such a high price point. I think you can find something cheaper on Amazon that does the same or even better.
