Nice!
I purchased these four years ago and am still wearing them nearly every day. They're definitely faded and worn, but still dry and have no holes. They're good for cold and rainy weather, and very comfortable. I match them with almost any outfit.

Don’t know how they will wear but looks good now
I do wonder how they will wear over time , but at the great sale price I was able to get them at, I figure I’ll be no worse off as I have been with buying a cheap-ish synthetic leather boot every 12 months due to how often the gift recipient wears them. Leather looks good. Has a little texture and is muted black so that will help conceal scuffs. I normally am a 9.5 with a low i step and the 10 leaves a bit of room at toe with a regular weight crew sock and it isn’t tightly around my ankle, but they aren’t meant for me. As such there does not seem to be a need for “breaking in” period. They are pretty light for this style of shoe. Hopefully the gift recipient likes them. Super versatile and love the waterproof/slide proof rubber sole.

Great Quality
If you can get it on sale, it's great. A little squeaky but nothing a bit of wear or leather conditioner won't fix. I love the matte look and while it started out a little tight (no half sizes makes it hard to find your size), after it broke in it became much more comfortable. Not waterproof but better than sneakers in the rain, and the sole hasn't started peeling after a few months of wear.

Great shock absorbing long wearing ankle support.
These boots are both fashionable and practical. The bouncing sole design is by a doctor who had suffered a severe ankle injury. He wanted a shoe which would provide ankle support and absorb some of the shock that walking causes to your body each time you take a step. So he designed the first Dr Martin boot for himself, so that he could walk comfortably again. I am very satisfied with my pair. I like how they are made of leather so there are various balsam & polish type products available, allowing you to care for & condition your boot leather, waterproof it and make it last longer, as well as remove dirt & dust, thereby keeping your boots nice and new looking. My ankle injury actually feels better with my boots on, and they are more attractive and fun to wear. The shock absorbing soles really work! The leather does take a minute to break in. The tongue part is part of the boot, not separate like most boots. There are two folds that initially hurt a little making one at first wonder if the boot arch is not built high enough for one's foot. They also rub the heel at first enough to cause small blood stains on your sock for the first few wears. But after applying balsam to the folds on the sides of the tongue and continuing to wear the boots, (leaning into the discomfort) they broke in nicely and I have no more problems. There are no half sizes, so round up if you are a half size, because you definately don't want them to be on the tight side. I wear a 7.5 or 8, and the 8 fits me perfectly. I think Dr Martin's are overall better and more durable than other brands that are made from vegan leather and have regular rubber soles that wear out in a year. Also they seem to come with the Dr Martin's insert sole that is also sold separately, so you won't need to buy that too if you invest in a pair of boots.Enjoy and God bless you.

They are ARE leather
I first thought these were not leather, having owned several pairs in the past. However, they are. The leather is lighter, softer and doesn't require that long break in period. Different, but leather.

Great Boot
My 3rd pair in lifetime!! I have wide feet so I go up half a size, but absolutely love my Docs, the quality of this product is amazing and once broken in extremely comfy.

Kind of weird sizing? Also, Dr. Martens manufactures in China, it’s not fake lol
Reviews said they were true to size…I wear 6.5-7 in women’s usually, ordered a 7 cause they don’t do half sizes. Most people size up when they don’t have half size options. I wouldn’t really say they’re too big, they aren’t necessarily loose and don’t slip off or down when I walk, it’s just that the toe box feels very very big, while everything else feels the right size. Some places online say to size down if you’re a half size. Some say size up. I truly cannot tell if these are too big, or if I look like I’m wearing clown shoes or not. Nevertheless, I hate returning things and they’re not uncomfortable or unwearable, so I think I’ll hang on to them. Maybe I’ll get used to the size, I just hope it doesn’t become too big when they’re broken in.(Side note, for everyone complaining they’re fake cause they’re made in China, I’m begging you to just take 30 seconds and google. They manufacture from China in addition to the UK and Thailand. This store is the Dr martens store. The description says imported origin. It’s your fault at this point lol. If you don’t properly review what you’re buying and end up with an actual fake product, that’s still on you. Be a smarter shopper lmao)
