I use one of these mats to make sure my cell phone doesn't accidentally slip off my desk; with a glass chair mat below, dropping it could be catastrophic. Another secures TV remotes while I'm on my exercise bike, and a third holds a hot cup of coffee. These also work fine for grabbing hot pots or pans.I do agree with others that the honeycomb surface makes them a bit difficult to clean. Gently cleaning one with a small kitchen brush or toothbrush — or soaking it for a while takes care of that. I would purchase them again.

Absolutely love these. They are the perfect size and love being able to have them out on my counter or table to protect them when I have a hot pan. Seem very sturdy. Great size makes them easy to store when not in use but quite honestly I have 2 sitting on my counter pretty much all the time!

Easy clean up and store, stays fast to countertop, I was skeptical but glad I got more than one, I like the grey.

The honeycomb cavities make this very lightweight and heat resistant but they also make them hard to clean. Sauce or soup or other fluid would get it there and they are just hard to get out, especially when they dry out. Also because of the smaller sizes, after washing, water takes longer to dry out leaving us w wet pads.We like the grey color and how it looks vs cork or ceramic coasters but the cleaning part gives us second thoughts

Compared to my silicone pads I purchased from Sur La table a few years ago, these are thin. This means less heat resistance. Straight out of the oven, be prepared to need to set it down rather fast. If you're using it for a quick use, say to take the lid off a pot, then it's just fine.So close but not quite there. A couple of mil makes all the difference.

This is the only way to keep those really hot items off of your commercially engineered stone kitchen counters. My installer told me about a customer who sat a hot pot in one place on her counter for a length of time. Eventually the pot discolored that one spot. These kitchen counters are too expensive an item to even take the chance of damaging! I use these routinely, and have a couple of sets!

Got these as my mother has bad eye sight and they contrast her work surface and help to keep things stable…. She uses them for everything in the kitchen

As the square trivets come in sets of 4, I put 2 over by the stove, and 2 close to my baking and prep area. So handy as they are on a hook on the backsplash - when needed I put one on the counter and it's ready for any hot pot or pan. Super easy to clean, great value for cost. Very happy with my purchase.

I ordered these honestly because they are pink HAHA, but I am super pleased with the quality and performance of them. I use them daily now and they have no discoloration or staining at all, they are easy to use and easy to clean. Would buy again.

Great silicone mat, I use to lay bowls and plates of hot food on. Stylish design, love the large space. Not the greatest to hold extreme heat but for normal hotness is fine, can always stack something below if needed. Easy to clean material.

These are not heat resistant. i placed them on a hot cooktop 5mins after turning it off a nd the pad heated up and started to smell. I needed those to cover hot cooktops to protect my cat but they are useless for that purpose.
