These scales look the part in their black glass design and are very easy to use.They take 3 x aaa batteries (6 are included in the box so great for spares) just put the batteries in, step in the scales on a flat, hard surface (not carpet pile) and strp off to calibrate, then back on to get a clear digital readout.The scales measure in kgs or lbs by pressing the button on the back can change from one to the other.I tried pressing and holding the button and the scales showed "cals" and a 4 digit number, although the manual doesn't say what this is.The instructions are clear, however; they contradict the user settings on the app and the sellers description on here....The scales say they are connectable by bluetooth as does the manual and the app that you are advised to download THIS IS NOT THE CASE!!I tried installing the app, uninstalling, trying different apps for the same make on my ohine, YouTube videos, clearing my bluetooth cache, installing the app on my iPad and repeated above... came on here to write my review and the sellers description says that they are not wifi or bluetooth compatible. In other words, you have to type in all your measurements including weight into the app; and I already have an app I'm happy with!Nice scales and reasonable value for money, but with no connectability, they're just an ordinary set of digital scales - and I already have those :(My bad for not reading the description before purchasing but maybe this review will help someone who's considering this kind of product purchase...

I purchased these scales as I was keen to upgrade my current ones, which are very basic. This arrived quickly and well packaged, and with 6 x AAA batteries included. The scales only require 3 to work so the additional set was pleasant surprise. The scales Are very responsive and the weight is accurate (having compared with my older scales which I know to be accurate). As other reviewers have mentioned I checked a few times with multiple weigh ins and every time the weight was correct.The app which comes with the scales is easy to use, and although the bluetooth connection was extremely fiddly to get working, eventually I connected and it updated straight away. Very happy with these, and they look stylish too!

Like what I received and easy to use

Great scale. It looks nice and sleek with my apartment. So far I’ve had it a year now and still works great. Use it to weigh myself and a my suitcase when I travel.All you need to do is to step on it and it’s starts working. Trick is to stay still for a couple of seconds to get an accurate read. Once you’re off it will turn off on its own in a bit.

The scales are great. I haven't had scales in the last decade, and they are certainly much better than used to be.I was worried that they would be fragile, but they are very strong, accurate, great looking, very simple and easy to use.I am not into the app, but I have checked it, for those who like that sort of self-monitoring it's a great feature to have.Overall, exceeded my expectations.

Well-made, good product. The illuminated scale reading shows up well - much better than the unlit liquid crystal digits some scales have. The scale is consistent in accuracy, in pounds (not stones) or kilos to one decimal point. I made a square plywood board as a stand, so it can be used in carpeted bedroom - you can't use it directly on carpet.

Unfortunately it failed to turn ON for the item less than 6kg. I tried for item which was 4.2kg, placed on top of the scale and there was no display/reading. Struggled for a while to look for On/Off switch but later came to know that it's automatic.I have to stand up on the scale to turn it ON and place the actual item back on top of the scale to measure the weight.One of the picture of the scale has also given me wrong impression to think thats its smart scale but it was not.Bit shiny and sleek which may be bit risky to place in bathroom. Not recommended on wet or slippery environment. Compared to other simar scale, instead of CR2032 battery, it takes 3XAAA batteryThough it's beautiful elegant, has sharp LED text, comes with spare batteries and measuring tape, it failed to meet my expectations.

I thought the scales didnt work and were faulty and had to go but batteries as both sets that came with the scales were dead! It's now working fine and seems accurate
