I have a daughter in high school who has had several adventures with lice in her elementary and junior high years. She has very long hair and needs a detangler after showering. I found this product on Amazon and we have been very pleased with it for several years now. It is a great detangler, it has a pleasant tea tree scent, and we have had no lice since beginning its use! I also have a four year old preschool boy, who is more likely to be exposed at his age than my daughter. I use a quick spritz of Levia on his hair in the morning before taking him to school to comb out his "bed head" and he, too, has been lice free for two years. After having our home upended twice with combing, washing all clothing and bedding in hot water, reinfestations, sibling infestations, etc. that come with lice, even in the cleanest home, this product is a very inexpensive and useful preventative product for daily use.

As someone that works with elementary aged students, I was in need of something to protect me from lice. Each week another student in my class would catch lice, I was almost certain that I would not make it through the year without getting them as well but this product seemed to ward off the pests wonderfully. I did not mind the smell, it was definitely more pleasant than other anti-lice products I have used. One thing I did dislike was that the product was dispersed in a stream rather than a spray. I found that this detangler would just sit on certain areas of my scalp rather than reaching the entirety of my head even after I combed through my hair. The nozzle gives out a strong spritz too so it's easy to make a mess with the product in your bathroom if you aren't holding the bottle close to your head when using. Otherwise, I was overall happy with the product, I did not dry out my hair or scalp, it did detangle well, and I did not get lice while using it!

I bought this after getting notice from school to look out for lice. I am hoping using this will help the lice skip our home. So far so good. It has a strong essential oil smell so that is good. But the spray bottle doesn't mist, it gives a one stream spray so it is hard to cover the whole head. I've been spraying it on parts of the scalp and trying to brush through then. Not ideal though. It does work as a nice detangler

This product is a life saver! We experienced a lice outbreak after my child attended camp. We got rid of them but she was re infected upon return to camp, it was a viscous and very time consuming, frustrating time. We found this and gave it a try. It smells great and leaves my daughters hair very soft and silky. It seems to nourish her hair. The Over the counter shampoo treatments had left her hair dry and dull. This fixed that problem and she has never got lice since. We use it daily as a preventative measure and it truly is the best spray on conditioner we have found, so I replaced our old leave in conditioner for this one and feel safe sending her out with all the kids!

This has a very nice smell and works perfectly as a detangler. My daughter has very thick straight hair, that looks like a birds nest every morning. I spray this on, wait 10 minutes and brush out with out any problems. My daughter loves it because finally, no more painful brushing! The only thing that I don't like about this product, and that I have seen other comment about, is that is gives a very straight stream. I am used to having a wide spray, that I can quickly spray all over the hair. This is a very straight spray, so I feel like I need to spray over and over to get the hair covered. This is a little tedious and annoying in the rushed mornings. I have yet to see if it will prevent lice, I hope it lives up to that part of its hype. Overall, I recommend this product.

This product smells good but I am not sure its exactly what I was looking for as a lice repellant hair detangler.....

I was very pleasantly surprised when I first used this product, before I even had a chance to test its effectiveness in repelling lice. It is not like the other cheap watery detanglers - it sprays on thicker and does a really good job in both keeping the hair saturated and allowing to comb out tangles and knots with more ease. I would continue to use this detangler even if I did not need it for repelling lice. So far it seems to have done an excellent job in repelling lice as well. My kids had an outbreak at school, even some of the friends they hang out with got it. But our house has been completely free of lice since using this product (together with the LEVIA shampoo and conditioner). Now we are just smiling, but we try not to do it in front of the infected families ;)

I like the way it smells, much better than other anti-lice detanglers. We use it for lice checks and it helps get the knots out so I can comb it through hair.
