Journey Bar Nutrition Bars Variety Pack, 1.6 Pound

meh. i am seeking a bar like a kind bar, but of a savory variety and hopefully not glued together with so much sugar! i had high opes for these but alas, my hopes were dashed by tasteless cardboard-y sadness. i had hoped to find in the rosemary bar real pieces of rosemary and aggressive rosemary flavor...alas it barely had a hint of rosemary...in the sesame ginger i expected to see lots of toasted sesame seeds and chunks of ginger...again i could barely taste any ginger and not many sesame seeds...in the coconut curry i expected chunks of coconut and a punch of curry flavor...but it just wasn't there...in the sea salt i expected bursts of real sea salt, but no. that was lacking too. haven't tried the pizza flavor yet, but i expect to be similarly underwhelmed. will finish the box (heck i might even EAT the box, it might have more flavor!) but wont be buying these again.

I had the marinara flavored one. So far, it really doesn't taste good. I have the lingering aftertaste of tomato paste, peas and tapioca...makes sense as those are major ingredients. I have the feeling if they added more sun dried tomatoes and garlic this would be good, but the flavor is just too weak for me to enjoy....its like a big pea and tapioca bar with a light coating of tomato sauce (very light!) Hopefully they will improve the flavor and I can try in the future. I hope the other flavors are good.

I was nervous about trying these after all the bad reviews. I'm glad I didn't listen and tried them! I love the bars! Maybe I like them because: a. I have been eating clean for a few years, so I love the flavor balance exactly as it is b. I have lived in other countries so I don't expect all my food to taste like McDonalds or Hostess c. I'm so tired of the standard ingredients in most bars - dates, peanut butter, cashews, chocolate. These have ingredients and a taste I love. Will definitely repurchase. Highly recommended.

I bought these a while back and I still haven't finished them. They're kind of .... mealy? The texture is just not great.... I still bring them to work sometimes but I'll end up getting something from our cafeteria, it's not even that they're bad, they're just not particularly appealing? The rosemary has to be my favorite flavor, surprisingly, but most of the bars are very similar. When I bought these I was eating savory Kind bars and looking for something similar but different and these honestly just fell flat.

The Journey bars were what I have been hoping for in a meal replacement bar. I was tired of all those sweet protein bars and was looking for a more savory bar. Most are good but they really need to eliminate the COCONUT CURRY bar. It was just awful. I would purchase this bar again but would probably not get the variety pack. Don't want to waste money on the COCONUT CURRY bar.

I just did not like the taste of any of these. I am not picky with food, I eat a lot of natural items along with the typical junk food. I grew up vegetarian and slowly switched as I got older. So it's odd when I don't like a product. I literally took one bite of these and had to spit it out, it left a horrible taste in my mouth, almost bitter. I don't know if I got a bad batch or I'm just slowly turning picky. I love the idea of a savory bar, I do not have a very big sweet tooth at all. These just didn't cut it for me, too bad because I ordered a box assuming I'd love them. Don't know who to give them to now.

To be fair, I am not entirely sure what I was hoping for out of a Savoury protein bar, but these are certainly not it. I’m reluctant to even put them in our disaster prep kit because we might choose to starve or attempt a foolhardy resupply mission rather than eat more of these...

I love having a variety of savory gluten-free bars. So often bars are sugary, and it is really nice to have savory options. At first I preferred the sea salt flavor, but the more times I ordered these the more I appreciated the variety of flavors. I appreciate that these buyers are made with buckwheat, which seems to be an underutilized source of gluten-free carbohydrates. And they have a suitable amount of protein for hypoglycemics. I also appreciate that they are milk free. It can be hard to find savory products that are both milk and gluten-free.
