It is a high quality unit and I am sure I will get many, many years of work out of it, when I prune, shrubs and trees.

Excellent Product - Made in Taiwan
As with many consumer products we buy here at Amazon and elsewhere, the biggest fear is getting junk from China that does not have the quality nor durability. This by-pass lopper is very well made and the country of origin is Taiwan. This lopper has the right handle length to give good leverage for cutting but the handles are not too long to make maneuvering difficult - this is the perfect size. The cutting blade on this tool came close to razor sharp and cuts branches easily! I've never seen a garden tool with hardened cutting blade sharpened to this degree - this is high quality manufacturing. This tool came with a small plastic protective cover for protection when not in use.I also bought the following by-pass lopper here on Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P686Y3B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1This smaller by-pass lopper is easier to handle but does not give the leverage that the Tabor Tools lopper affords. If I were to choose only one to buy, I'd recommend the Tabor Tool by-pass lopper. If you need to cut anything greater than 1-1/4" in diameter, just use a small hand saw. This is a very well made tool and should last many years for home use.

Does the job
Gets the job done, can’t really complain. It will be able to handle most medium sized shrubs/bushes. The thicker trunks of bushes and trees were a struggle a bit but with enough muscle you can manage.

I love it. Easy to handle.
It is sharp, short handles make it easy to use in tight places, and it is rugged. I plan use it for many years.

Easy to use as a senior citizen
It's very sharp and relatively light weight. I cut a dead branch off in one swipe.
