KAI Japanese Nail Clippers With Side Nail File, Stainless Steel, Large, Made in Japan

I was looking for a straight edge toenail clipper that is sharp enough not to tear the nails and has a clipping catcher. I've tried a few highly regarded brands without much success until I found this product. It fits the bill perfectly! The straight edge is real: sometimes too real because it's very hard to angle it to get a slightly rounded cut. But that's what I was looking for. In addition, the clipped toenail edge on the big toes can be a bit rough, but it's not as bad as with other clippers, and can be easily smoothed with the built-in nail file. The only big caveat is the clipping catcher: it's not easy to take off and put back on. Anyhow, very much satisfied with the purchase overall.

Very good, high quality nail clipper. This is a STRAIGHT BLADE CLIPPER (as opposed to a curved blade clipper). I did not see that in the description nor do I think it was mentioned before I bought them. I am giving it 4 stars only because a curved blade would be more convenient than the straight blade for me and it was not mentioned in the description from the company. Other than that, these babies will easily cut through any nail you can fit in between the blades. Very good quality and I would buy another pair if this one ever died (not that I anticipate that happening). I just wish the blade was curved as you tend to have to make more small clips to not leave "peaks" or edges on your nails. Still a VERY high quality clipper.

Excellent clippers! I usually use Tweezerman clippers, but wanted to see if there are better options, these most definitely are. The cutting edge is straight, not curved, which I prefer for toe nail cutting. If you like curved, these will not be for you. They leave an incredibly smooth edge requiring no smoothing out later. They require almost no effort to squeeze the handle to clip, so if you have mobility issues in your hands/fingers I would suggest giving these a try. The handles are a bit oversized, but again this could be a big advantage for you. These do come with a sleeve to catch the trimmings, but for some reason those never work well for me. It is easy to remove though.

Favorite nail clippers by far!

These work fine. I'm not sure they are as great as claimed. Too pricey for what they do. I couldn't tell much difference from other clippers.

very sharp, I have used many nail clippers and they just will not cut, Some broke. Japanese makes the best products.
