Eric Carle - What's not to Love?
My 18-month-old loves this book. The illustrations are beautiful, and being a board book makes it easy for him to turn the pages. For little ones, it's great to have them learn animal noises. I used to read this to preschool-age kids as well and they got really excited about doing the motions. Be careful with the donkey kicks, though!

Educational and interactive, too! Recommend for age 1 year to graade 2.
I bought this board book and recommend for ages 1 to grade 1 or 2. It is interactive in that kids do what the animals do while they are learning the names of various animals. As usual, the pictures of Eric Carle are great and colorful!

Interactive Tale
It's a cute story and more active than Brown Bear, etc. My daughter is in love with Brown Bear and Polar Bear so I got this as an Easter gift. I like that I can act out the animal moves and try to get her to do it, too (she's 10 months). She laughs at some of the moves. The story is basically saying you are an animal, ex: I am a monkey. I can move my arms. Can you? and Then a child replying they can do it too.I like the size of the book - easy for her to hold and flip through. The board book is good because I don't have to worry about her ripping the pages.I gave it four stars because she seems to prefer the other two books.

Perfect book for active toddlers
This is one of our toddlers new favorite books! It is great for learning to follow directions and different body parts while getting some energy out. I would recommend this for any active toddler.

Fun and educational
My daughter loves this book and can act out all the gestures from it. I would recommend all books by Eric Carle for infants and toddlers. The artwork is very interesting, and kids always learn something while having fun.
