This is just what I needed
I have just adopted an African gray to go with my other gray, Scarlet Macaw and Australian King parrot. I originally thought that this play stand would be a nice option for my Aussie. He has taught himself to climb off my knee and go elsewhere to poop. Then he climbs back. What consideration! However, the tree stand was much larger than I thought it would be. Not large enough for my macaw, but perfect for the grays. My new boy is from a sanctuary and has had a difficult life until then, so having the tree stand on the table in front of me gives him proximity as well as distance so he can settle down into being part of my forever flock. The tree stand has two treat cups, but I only use one so as not to block access to the top perch. I put a beaded ladder up and down the main base for my Aussie to be able to maneuver around the two lower perches, which worked when I tried it last night. (No two birds at the same time)The base is solid and I lined it with absorbent bird paper sheets for easy clean up. The branches and base were quick and easy to assemble, and the wood is good quality without dust, splinters or sharp hazards. The entire stand is sturdy and feels safe. Here's to a happy long life to my flock!

Great, Easy-to-Assemble perch for Green Cheeks, Cockatiels and medium sized birds.
Great purchase. The Natural wood provides good texture and is wide enough that it doesn't hurt my Green Cheeks Feet. She loves to sit on top. The dishes are easily removable and washable. The whole product assembles nicely. However, you will need to put down newspaper for the bottom because the wood is natural - poop is unforgiving when it hits. This is a great buy for green cheeks and cockatiels. My parakeet even has fun chewing on it.*** IN SUMMARY ****Size: Great for Green Cheeks, Cockatiels and Love Birds. My parakeets are OK sitting on it but struggle to go up and down if their wings are clippedWood: Natural, good size for feet as it exercises them. This is much better than the standard round perches you would find in the pet store.Cleaning: So-so, this is because the wood is natural. There is always a trade off- in this case it's if you don't put paper down on the bottom. You can easily cut or fold newspaper/magazines to save yourself the hassle of attempting to clean off poo- and let me tell you- it's not fun. The poo sticks to the natural wood like glue- as you'd think it would. But honestly this is such a small price to pay and easily avoidable.Assembly: Extremely easy, my grandparents can even take it apart and put it back together. It is SO simple you don't need instructions. This is the best part- you can easily take it apart and transport it. That in itself is so valuable. Many of the stands I've encountered are hard to disassemble however this perch has been a winner. I can take it apart super quickly (within 5m) and put it in a bag to take to different places! Very easy and light.Weight: Great weight- not too heavy but very steady.10-10 would recommend.

Sturdy Stand for Macaw
I was very excited to get this stand and saw that it more than delivered on the quality! The maker of this stand took into consideration many things especially since it was designed for large birds. The height of the stand allows my Macaw's tail to hang and not touch the base, the grooves in the perch is very natural for their claws, the base area allows me to fit perfectly a couple of newspaper flyers and covers ea area without having to do a lot of folding to make them fit, two cups on both ends of perch allow for dry and wet treats and keeps your bird stationed in the center so drops go onto base (perfect size to fit on a TV tray stand), and above everything...it is super STURDY and very REALISTIC LOOKING with the burnt wood treatment gives it so much character. No instructions needed since everything screws in and NO SCREWS show! Well made product!

Recommend it, good quality, sturdy, clean before use.
Love the design, great quality, sturdy, appealing. Don’t think I’ll be using the bowls because it’s a bit crowded up top, maybe just use one. Unfortunately, mine was a bit too stained (I love the stain detail though) and it was getting on my hands/birds feet so I rinsed some of it off and let it dry. The odor wasn’t too bad like some other reviews said, just clean it prior to use.Star deduction: Arrived with the base split down the middle. The wood stain was a bit too much. It would be nice if there was another size in between the two currently available.

Great Quality
Mango my 30 year old Eclectus approves! Wow such great quality for the price. This is size Sm/Med I was looking for a perch I could move around my house easily. I went to a pet store and almost bought one for $170 but it was to bulky. This is exactly what I was looking for! It’s sturdy, real wood, and super easy to put together. I also use it as a high chair to feed Mango so he’s not dirtying up his cage. I place it in the sink and spray it down when he’s done. It came with two bowls but I only attached one.

Great size for an amazon but not the best quality
The first thing I noticed when unboxing this perch was the lack of an instruction manual. While assembly isn’t overly complicated, it did take some trial and error to figure out how everything fits together. The pieces are clearly labeled, but a simple guide would have saved time and frustration, especially for those who aren’t as handy.Another issue I encountered during assembly was the presence of small splinters on the wood. Handling the pieces required extra care to avoid getting splinters, particularly when tightening screws or gripping the perch firmly. Sanding down the rough edges helped, but it’s something that shouldn’t be necessary for a product marketed as ready-to-use.On the positive side, the perch itself is impressively large and sturdy. I tested it with my Amazon parrot, and it holds up well to his weight and activity. For medium-sized birds, the size is more than adequate, providing plenty of space to climb and perch comfortably. I even placed a Stanley Cup next to it for scale in the photos, and the perch’s bulkiness is evident. That said, I wouldn’t recommend this for larger birds like cockatoos or macaws. While the description suggests it’s suitable for big parrots, the design and spacing of the branches don’t seem robust enough to handle heavier, more active birds. It’s better suited for medium species or as a secondary perch rather than a primary one for large birds. The included food and water bowls are a nice touch, though they feel a bit flimsy compared to the perch itself. The drop tray is functional and makes cleanup easier, but the overall setup could benefit from more secure mounting options for the bowls to prevent spills. In the end, this perch is decent for the price, but it has some flaws that keep it from being great. The lack of instructions and unfinished wood edges are frustrating, but the sturdiness and size make it a viable option for medium birds. With a few improvements—like pre-sanded wood and clearer assembly guidance—it could easily earn a higher rating. For now, it’s a middle-of-the-road choice.

Inexpensive, Easy to Assemble, Sturdy
I always wonder why bird trees are so pricy. This one is inexpensive, assembles so easily, and is sturdy. My cockatiel hasn’t warmed up to it yet, but that’s on her. Scaredy bird.

Something to take into consideration with this perch
I bought this perch 2 months ago with no issues. I checked at least two pages of reviews, made sure I checked some bad reviews, and overall this perch seemed good. I'm going to try and be as subjective as possible with this review with the reasonable suspicion I have.My parrot (GCC) chews on wood, and with this said, I bought this perch knowing she would be chewing on it so I tried to be careful with what I bought. It took her a few weeks to discover she could chew on the wood, and once she did she worked to chew away on some of the base within a 3 day period. During this, she started having weird poops (the urates were brownish-red, normally a sign of internal bleeding) so I immediately rushed her to the vet to be diagnosed. After they took a X-ray they found that her intestines were irritated and enlarged. No danger to her, we were sent home to monitor. The vet couldn't pinpoint why her intestines were irritated and I had mentioned she was chewing on the wood but because I thought I had done my research, we both thought it wasn't that. But that's literally the only thing that changed in her daily routine. Being suspicious, I took the perch away from her and within a day of her not chewing on the wood her poops returned back to normal and she no longer has bowl irritation or swelling. What I'm trying to get across is that I have a reasonable suspicion that this perch may not be all natural wood, on top of that may also have an irritant within the wood or coating on it. I looked at a few of the one star reviews saying others struggled with a residue on the wood and with that said you should just be aware this may not be natural wood and may not be safe for birds that like to lick/chew on wood. Although not proven and this could be a complete fluke, use your own judegment and caution if you own a little beaver as I do.

Very sturdy, even for macaws!
I was looking for a tabletop.perch for my macaw but couldn't figure out if it would be big enough for her. I saw a couple of reviews on this one that had pictures so I push the buy button. It's exactly what I needed! And my parrot doesn't hate it. (I'm sure she'll love it in time, but new things are scary & not to be trusted). She's quite happy moving around on it, no wobble or shake. Definitely a great purchase and I would definitely recommend it.
