Is your set compatible with an "area lighting reserch" model aa305?

I done know about that model but the lights I have didn't come with one so I added it just drill a 3/8 hole for the eye to fit just make sure you have room for the sensor to fit in side

Does it work with 24V AC current?

This photo cell does not have an AC range of voltages for the input. It says 120 VAC. I would answer no, it will not work with only 24 VAC as input. But I am not an engineer. They (manufacturers) do make photo cells that run on 24VAC.

What country is this from, and why is "swlch" misspelled?

Being so inexpensive im sure its Chinese. I didn't look. I can't answer the lack of proof reading before publishing, but it fit my needs perfectly ànd works as advertised. Very slim design I could not find locally
