I AM HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE.

I bought a Saree when I was in India at a silk factory. I'll wear it with my Indian friends blessings and encouragement, but I really needed the underskirt! I thought leggings would work. They don't, but this holds my saree in place comfortably.

The skirts arrived smelling of some oil based spray pesticide , which smelled awful. These were bought to give away and so i decided to wash, iron and then give them away to my intended recipients. When I washed them in my washing machine, on normal cycle, the fabric seams frayed bad, string lengths and frayed seams everywhere. Gave it a closer look, the stitches are so far apart, that I am going to have to re seam every single stitch. The fabric which appeared to have some thickness initially, lost all the sprayed fillers in the wash and has become thinner and lost the sturdiness of a decent petticoat. For the price paid per petticoat, it should have been lot better. To summarize- lower quality fabric, poor quality stitching Three stars because the color appears ok, i need petticoats and what the heck, be kind.

Terrible. Thought it would be cheap enough that even if the fit wasn't great and I had to alter it, at least it would be worth the price for the fabric... Nope. Because it's not even white! It's like lavender. And the strings to tie it are super short. And the cotton is super stiff. Not at all what I was hoping for our expecting. Don't waste your money. For barely more than this I found something much better quality with multiple layers that requires a lot less altering... In fact, I don't even have to alter the other one, but I will pretty much have to redo this entire thing, assuming I decide to even bother for a lavender slip. Also, the drawstring coupled with the stiffness of the fabric makes the waist incredibly bulky and not flattering. For use with a purple saree, I'm sure that would be great. I guess you would want it stiff enough to support all the saree fabric. But the ties are so short that I'm not sure how well it would even work for that. But definitely don't buy this remotely hoping this would work as a cotton slip under anything but a saree that would coordinate with a lavender-colored base.
