Love, love, love!
This coffee is the BOMB!! I ordered it originally because I couldn't find my preferred bourbon barrel aged brand onilne. I like this as much if not more than my old brand! I am a bourbon and coffee fan. I drink this coffee on my patio, savoring every drop. Every cup feels like a luxurious treat so I don't want to rush through it. I put a bit of honey in it and sometimes, some almond milk as I can't drink any coffee black. If you are a bourbon fan, you should try it...or get it as a gift for the bourbon loving coffee drinker in your life!!Only negative is the price and it just went up again!!

Poor quality control
I’m disappointed that I have to leave a negative review for this product, as I typically avoid writing bad reviews. Before purchasing, I read the mixed feedback and noticed that some customers were concerned about receiving coffee that had been roasted too long ago, potentially affecting its quality.Today, I received my coffee, and upon opening the package, I immediately noticed a strange, slightly unpleasant smell. It’s difficult to describe, but it doesn’t resemble the scent of coffee or bourbon. Concerned by the aroma, I checked the roast date—only to find that it was roasted in 2019, which is over half a decade ago.Previously, I purchased a whiskey barrel-aged coffee from Starbucks, and its rich aroma was noticeable even from the bag. Unfortunately, this product appears to be hit or miss, as there doesn’t seem to be any quality control regarding freshness.

Worth the purchase
If you like whiskey barrel coffee, this one is better than average. I’ve noticed a common theme in this genre is a less than bold flavor at times downright watery. I’ve found grinding half the whiskey bean and half your favorite medium roast, the flavor is excellent. More than a subtle hint of whiskey with equally strong coffee flavor. I French press. I do recommend these beans!

Tasty But Pricey
I am enjoying my whiskey barrel aged coffee. It is a true medium roast and has a pleasant aroma from aging in a barrel used for aging whiskey.I expected a slightly stronger taste from the aging and perhaps a slightly more aromatic brew but it is well balanced, smooth and smells delightful. It is pricey but in comparison to other coffees of the same ilk it was a good price. I will buy it again but I may try another brand just for comparison. The only other tasting I have had are pour overs at my local coffee shop where it is slightly more aromatic and has slightly stronger taste.

The real deal!
If you are fond of the new trend in bourbon coffees, this is the one for us. Smooth but strong enough to hold its own in a latte. Will definitely get it again 😎

The Starbucks Reserve dupe
Doesn’t taste as smooth but it’s decent enough to finish but I won’t be buying again. Something off to the taste….
