A Common Sense Discussion For All Introverts
This book does an excellent job of discussing a very complex issue in terms we all can understand. More important, the authors make it clear at the start that they are not trying to "fix" introverts, because there is nothing to "fix." They point out that there is nothing wrong with being an introvert. For example, many famous people of our time are introverts (like Lady Gaga and Warren Buffet, among others). So, there is actually nothing to "fix."Steve and Rebecca also define an introvert in terms everyone can understand, and then go on to discuss the different types of introverts. They even provide a link to a test the reader can take to determine their own type of introversion. (Highly recommended.)To me, the highlight of this book is the presentation of the most common challenges facing introverts, and the strategies that can be used to successfully rise above the noise of our chaotic extroverted world. If you're an introvert in the business world, this book can certainly help.

Insightful and simple to read
I would've liked it more if it was mind blowing, but I came to see that it's strength is in its simplicity. Certainly picked up few things to implement.

Just One Idea
Short, sweet, and to the point! I love the way the authors end their book – pick one idea from this book and turn it into a consistent daily habit. For me, the one idea I'm beginning with is to develop my ability to engage in small talk. As an introvert, I've always dismissed small talk as a waste of time and effort. This great book provides lots of other suggestions for which new habit to develop first, depending on your own particular type of introversion. For me, I'm happily starting with small talk and then will graduate to other challenges.

a bit shallow
The book is a quick and easy read. Basically it is a short summary about the meaning of being an introvert with some suggestions how to overcome of the difficulties that comes with this type of personality. It must be very useful for someone who realized that he/she is an introvert lately. However the book is not giving an in-depth of analysis of introversion and it is quite repetitive. The suggestions for handling problems are sometimes very obvious (e.g. to make a first good impression smile or give a firm handshake) or absurd (e.g. to overcome shyness/ lack of confidence initiate a conversation with 3 to 5 people daily). Honestly I have expected more from this book…

Rebecca and Scott have written a great basic book for anyone who has struggled with "not fitting in" in this extroverted world. There is strength in the preferred silence of the introvert but there is no excuse for not standing up or speaking up for yourself if circumstances deem it necessary. The challenges and solutions presented make changing old habits that hold you back from success simple. I recommend this book to anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed by the nonstop chaos of extroverts.
