Yes i think it could be adjusted to fit a horse riding hat. Even better, it comes with sticky foam pads (for bike helmets) that you can attach a mount to. The camera mounts to the head-strap the same way it connects to all the different mounts. Very secure and adjustable.

How long will the battery last on constant record

it's impossible to say, becausee the battery usage depends on many factors, but as rule of thumb between 20 min. and 40 min. If you want to really last long, buy power bank from readle and have piece of mind for a day shooting

What speed is the SD card?

Purchase SanDisk Extreme cards for full compatibility. You’ll be surprised how much it effects camera usability and performance using a non compatible memory card.
