Good for non-ballgown wedding dresses
Ok, so I am getting married out of state, and I wanted to find a foldable garment bag that would 1. Fit carry on dimensions for air travel (keep in mind many airlines have special dimensions allowed specifically for garment bags) and 2. Be able to still hold my dress, and possibly also my fiance's suit. I made sure to include a bunch of pictures in case there are any other soon to be brides who also read through dozens of garment bag reviews and Googled dimensions and looked at all the pictures they could find to make sure they don't show up at the airport only to be told they need to check their bag, or who are worried their dress won't fit in the bag at all. First, yes, this works for the wedding dress I bought, and there is plenty of room left to include a suit. I have a Stella York gown so it is not a fluffy ballgown, but it does have a train. I took a picture showing the garment bag the bridal store gave me compared to this bag, and they are the same length, so that was a good sign. The train was a bit cramped once put into this garment bag, so I flattened it as much as possible and folded it over. This is where my one complaint come in: there is only one set of straps within the bag that hold the garment in place. I am sure my train will slide down and just be a ball inside the bag after lugging it through an airport, but at least it fits in the bag with room to spare. Secondly, yes, this bag is within the allowable dimensions that airlines allow for a garment bag as a carry on. I think if you added shoes (there are shoe pockets) and other things more than just a dress and suit, you will have problems with the bag getting too wide, but with just clothes it all seems good. Overall, I am happy with this garment bag, besides the fact I think it could use more internal straps to hold clothes down. It is extremely lightweight and at least seems water resistant. The tri fold works well, and there are plenty of pockets, plus the carry handle is like most duffle bags where you can velcro them together and it's easier to carry.

Works well for long puffy dresses
This bag worked well to traveling with multiple long puffy dresses. Was able to fit 3 dresses. Has 3 snap to hold dresses. Hangers came out of loops when checked on the airplane but the tri fold held dresses in place. Wish material was a little more durable and wish you were able to snap secure using bag in a bi fold carry but I would still recommend this item

My wedding dress fit!
I bought this in hopes my A-line, puffy wedding dress would fit so I could bring it back home to CA on a airplane, and it did!!! I was able to fit the dress, it's a Maggie Sottero A-line cut with a decent amount of poof, and my vile. I could only fold it in half, couldn't fold it in thirds, but on my flight there was a coat closet, so I was able to put it in there during the flight so it was safe!!! I will say I had to return the bag after I brought my dress home due to the inside ripping. There are some loops at the top so you can hang up whatever you put in there and my dress was so heavy that it ripped it. So I don't think it's the bags fault, I think the dress just weighted too much and was going moved around a lot during security and walking through the airport. But they were so nice and sent me a new one, which I used for another trip. I was able to fit a bridesmaid dress, my fiance's slacks, button up, vest , belt and tie. The dress, slacks and shirt were on a hanger and the loops that held them didn't rip! So again, I think the first bag ripped because my dress was so heavy. This bag has pockets on the inside and the outside for extra stuff and it has latches on the inside to keep whatever garments in place. There is also a hood on the outside of the bag, so you can hang it up and be able to keep everything up right. Overall I think this is a great bag. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for something like this. I'm giving it four stars and not five because of the rip with the first bag, yes it was because of me, but I feel like maybe the inside could be made with stronger material? Not sure. Also I'd say it helped keep things wrinkle free, but I don't think you should expect to not have to iron something after traveling with this bag.

For All of my Destination Wedding Brides!
This garment bag was perfect for my destination wedding travel plans! I searched endlessly for hours on end and compared so many different garment bags to get the best fit possibly. This bag met my all around needs to travel with my wedding dress. This was something that was causing me a lot of anxiety, but this bag worked perfectly! The bag was just as long as the garment bag that my wedding dress came in. I was even able to fit my dress AND it’s bag inside of this garment travel bag with minimal wrinkling. I had a very long train, so I wasn’t sure how that would do being bundled up at the bottom, but I was able to adjust the sizing of the bag as I traveled. Some of the planes I flew on had closets that could accommodate this bag when folded in half and others I had to put in the overhead bins, which I was easily able to do by simply adjusting to the tri-fold option. Once I got off the planes, I immediately unfolded the entire bag to the longest option to limit the possibility of wrinkles. I was able to put all of my wedding day items (shoes, jewelry, veil, garter, veil, etc) in the smaller pockets. I was even able to fit my husband’s suit and my rehearsal dress too. This was so perfect in so many ways. The only major critique I have is that the bag hangs a little crooked when it was folded in half. I played around with the attached hook to see if there was a better way, but I couldn’t figure anything out. Either way everything traveled well & my dress made it there and back in one piece. What a relief! To future brides who need to travel with their dress, this is definitely a great option! I’m not sure how well it would accommodate a puffy gown, but it worked well for my crepe form-fitting dress.

Worked well as a "Carry On" and got my dress safely to the UK
When you take your wedding dress with you on the plane, it counts as part of your "carry on" or hand luggage. This bag was large enough to fit my wedding dress and a few other dresses, plus its many pockets allowed me to include several other items I would normally have in my regular hand luggage. It's sturdy, great value for the money and traveled very well internationally. My dress arrived safely and was wrinkle free. Full disclosure, the fabric of my dress doesn't wrinkle easily, so I'm sure that also made a difference. I wish it did have some sort of shoulder strap since it can get a bit heavy, but the main handle works well enough. It's not waterproof, but I asked my dry cleaners for a long plastic bag and was able to put that over my dress for some protection. I also had my dress inside the bag they give you at the dress shop and then had that inside the garment bag, so there were layers of protection. It did what I needed it to do and it didn't cost hundreds of dollars. It was a last minute purchase that ended up being exactly what I needed.

Trifold 66 Women travel garment bag.
Terrible. Broke easily. Not strong enough. Poor quality.

Good features but smells terrible
I’ve used this bag to travel and it’s held up well. The bag could fit a lot and still be folded up to fit as a carry on: 2 long heavy coats, formal dress, and full suit all fit. The biggest issue I have is that after a year, the bag still smells strongly of chemicals/factory. It’s so bad that our clothes all smelled like the bag for a week after airing out and steaming. I need to travel with my wedding dress and while I’m sure it would fit in this bag just fine, I’ll need to double bag it to avoid the gross smell.

Great handy bag
Updated : For the price compared to the Wally bag, it is a bargain. Only thing to not is it doesn't have a longer strap but it can handle quite a few clothes (wedding dress, 2 suits, 3 pairs of shoes, 2 shirts, 2 dresses) and is very sturdy. No problem with any flights either - lots of international travel and inter-european travel. Unfortunately, I was sent a defective item with no time to exchange: the team was very nice and sent me a refund - great costumer service
