Good for Mainecoon cat hair
I usually don't leave a review, but this product is worth the effort to type,... It's simple, well built, and a clever way to pick up our cat hair. In addition, has a good price point. We have two long hair Mainecoon cats that shed twice a year. It's a nice supplement to lint rollers (save you money on using 100% only lint rollers) and vacuuming. We have one for the house and one for our RV. For our needs it's ideal on bed comforters, chairs, sofas, and small throw rugs that would get choked in the vacuum cleaner. For the people that complain it's not a true "roller", big deal. Its mode of action is a quick back and forth on smaller areas vs. long sweeping rolling. We live in a sea of cat hair, this is a nice tool in the toolbox!

Dare to Have Fun Cleaning & Save Money
Worth the money, easy to use, picks up pet hair (and some dirt) as well as or maybe even better than those sticky lint/hair remover that must be peeled off constantly. This definitely saves money and the best part is that you can see visibly the amount of hair (so much) that it picks up even after using the sticky ones. Doesn't perfectly pick up the longer cat hair 100% at first brush but swipe it at different directions a few times and it will. Wasn't sure at first if it was worth the purchase but if you are trying to save money & have multiple pets that constantly shed (ie. cat, dog, wolf etc - i have 3 short-haired cats & a Morkie who doesn't really shed) then this is worth trying. Works well on couch, bed, upholstered chair, but not on hard surfaces (sticky lint removers work better on surfaces like table, floors, glass). Works okay on clothes while wearing it but I prefer the sticky lint removers as you do have to push this a few times with pressure to work. The best part is that no refills needed so you save money! Fun to use, try it!

Best pet hair remover... ever!
I have always had at least one dog and I'm used to coping with some dog hair, but I've never allowed dogs on the furniture and I also think that my dogs all had hair that was fairly easy to remove. Fast forward to 2012, and I am in a second marriage with 3 kids. The last "not on furniture" dog died and we got a new dog named Zara. Hubs grew up in a house that allowed dogs on the furniture so when we saw that that Zara was able to jump on the furniture we had to make a decision. We did it the good ol' American way and put it to a vote. Hubs and all three girls voted to let the dog on the furniture, much to my dismay. Worse, Zara's hair is like nothing I've seen before... once it gets onto cloth, most of the time it clings to the point that the hairs have to be pulled out individually. Vacuuming, tape-style lint rollers, a Gleener depiller, velcro balls in the washer/dryer, Bounce pet hair dryer sheets ... they all leave a lot behind. Fast forward to 2020 and not only am I at my wits' end with the dog hair, but all three kids are grown women and none of us likes that we can't sit on the furniture without having to get out a hand-held vacuum and vacuum the dog hair off the back of each others' pants. Fast forward one last time to last week when I finally decided to get this Chom Chom gadget. I am ASTOUNDED at how well it works. I think the secret is with the little squeegee on the roller. I've tried using a squeegee on carpet before and it really does work, but it is unwieldy, cannot easily be done in more than one direction, and it must be done with a vacuum nearby to gather whatever gets pulled up. Also, then the squeegee ends up with pet hair on it so it needs to be cleaned before it gets put back into service for cleaning glass. With the Chom Chom, you get the benefit of the squeegee, but since it is on the roller, it is easier to do back/forth strokes. And then as for how the dog hair gets off the roller and into the hair collection chamber... maybe it is sorcery? I have no idea how that works but IT DOES!! In full honesty, I still have to do extra strokes to get all of Zara's hair (it gets our other dog's "easy hair" on the first swipe), but the amount that the Chom Chom picks up relative to the number of passes I have to make over the fabric is unbelievable! Once the chamber is full, I use a handheld vac to remove the hair and then it is ready to go again! The only downsides that I can see are: - Some dog hair gets trapped in the side hinges of the door to the collection chamber and has to be pulled out with the fingers. It is possible that if I cleaned it before it got SO FULL, that problem would go away, but we just have SO MUCH dog hair and the gadget is so effective that I would be emptying every couple of minutes. - The button to open the collection chamber door is right where I place my thumb for strength so I tend to pop it open when I am doing the actual rolling task (I seem to have this problem with a lot of products that have a button in the center, so that might be a "me" problem.) - The chom chom is 7.5" wide which is excellent for cleaning furniture, but a narrower version would be better for clothing, especially when the dog hair gets on the clothes while they're being worn and it would be impractical to remove the clothes (e.g., if you get dog hair on your black pants when you ride in your co-worker's car to lunch during the workday.) BOTTOM LINE: I have had this little gadget for less than a week and have already recommended it to several people and wrote this review while I was looking to see if they had a narrower model for my car/office/coat closet. I wish I had owned this years ago, and I would 100% buy it again.

This Chom Chom Works Well, But It Does Have Its Limitations.
This Chom Chom lint and hair roller does work as advertised IF it is used correctly. We mainly use this Chom Chom to clean up the hair left on the faux leather furniture by our constantly shedding Sable German Shepherd. It does indeed work really well for that purpose. This Chom Chom also picks up little pieces of lint off of the furniture very well. However, this Chom Chom is NOT going to vacuum the entire house by itself, so don't expect miracles from it. This Chom Chom is designed to be used in short back and forth strokes, and not long rolling motions, as the hair collector bar does not turn 360 degrees (it flips back and forth). The hair collector pads are designed to collect hair and lint by building up static electricity through friction, and then the squeegee deposits the hair and lint into the easy to empty storage compartment. If the Chom Chom is used in one long continuous direction/motion it will not work correctly, and I am quite sure that is where the very few negative reviews are coming from. Also, as specifically stated in the included instructions, this Chom Chom is NOT designed to be used directly on humans or pets. It is not a sticky clothing lint roller or a dog/cat brush. The instructions also state that this Chom Chom will not work on hard or smooth services. It needs some friction from rough furniture material in order to build up static electricity on the cleaning pads. As I previously stated, this Chom Chom does work very well IF it used as directed. Just don't use it for unintended purposes, and then leave a bad review because the instructions were ignored or not read at all. While I would have given this Chom Chom 5 stars just because it works so well for its intended purpose, it does have a couple of shortcomings. First off, if a finger is not placed over the door latch of the hair storage compartment while using the Chom Chom, the door constantly flips open and the collected hair goes everywhere (I learned this surprise the hard way). Maybe I received a Chom Chom with weak door latch? Also, this Chom Chom is made of cheap/thin plastic, so it will flex if too much pressure is placed on it during use. Also, the thin plastic construction does bring the long term durability of the Chom Chom into question. In conclusion, I do highly recommend this Chom Chom, as it does work very well for cleaning pet hair as advertised, IF it is used correctly. However, with the weak storage compartment door latch, and the cheap plastic construction, I can only rate the Chom Chom 4 stars. Personally, I only paid $18 for the Chom Chom on Amazon Prime Day, so cost was really not an issue just to try it out. However, it did take over a week to receive the Chom Chom, with 2 day delivery actually being shown in the product listing, so just be prepared in advance that the delivery of the Chom Chom may be delayed due to its immense popularity. However, that is not the fault of Amazon or the Chom Chom itself. UPDATE: This Chom Chom works so well at cleaning up dog hair that we now own 3 of them that we keep and use around the house. The strange part is that even though the name "Chom Chom" is technically a proper noun, we now use it as a verb in our house, as in "I just Chom-Chomed the couch." Good stuff! UPDATE #2: I recently purchased the Black & Decker version of this Chom Chom hair & Lint Removal Tool (I left a comprehensive review for the B&D product as well) for comparison with this Chom Chom. While both this Chom Chom and the B&D versions of this tool work in exactly the same manner, and equally well, the B&D version is a higher quality product, IMHO. The B&D tool has a thicker rubberized purple handle, a translucent purple lint storage compartment lid, and it operates much more quietly, without the occasional loud squealing noise that this Chom Chom makes. The lint compartment door on the B&D tool also stays securely closed until it is actually opened by the user. The best part is that the B&D hair and lint removal tool is about half the regular price as this Chom Chom version (go figure). I gave the B&D tool 5 stars compared to 4 stars for this Chom Chom. I invite people to try both products and see what they think for themselves. I am sure that they will agree with my opinions on both of these very good hair and lint removal tools.

Super easy to use and works great!
I love this gadget! It’s so easy to use and super easy to clean the pet fur out of it. I bought it to clean the fur off of the bedspread where my long-haired cat sleeps. It did a great job of picking up the fur. I think it would have taken me at least 5 sticky sheets to accomplish the same task and this was so much easier! I haven’t tried it on clothes yet.

MUST HAVE FOR PET OWNERS
If you have hairy pets, dogs, cats or whatever, you need one of these tools to keep your furniture clean and clear of pet hair. It picks up hair as advertised, and as seen in our photo. It works on almost all fabrics so it compatible for most furniture. We have tweed cotton blend. We’ve used attachment for our vacuum, fabric brushes, rollers and none of them have worked as well as this tool. Easy to use push and pull lightly across your fabric. Back and forth, and in multiple directions to get the best results. No sticky pads, or No thin sheets to remove, just 2 two fabric lent brushes with a squeegees along each side that rock back and forth with your manual motion should not snag fabric or fabric damage if used correctly “as advertised.” Again a must have for all pet owners.

Outmatched by my girlfriend's German Shepherd
I really wanted to love this thing. Great name, compact design, feels sturdy, and it has a satisfying little mechanism that collects the hair into an internal compartment instead of leaving you peeling sticky sheets. Unfortunately, my girlfriend shares an apartment with a German Shepherd. If you’ve ever lived with one, you know their fur doesn’t just shed, it migrates. It somehow gets into my luggage, follows me home on airplanes, and I’m pretty sure my lungs are now coated in German Shepherd. Where this shines is on large, flat surfaces. Beds, couches, blankets, furniture, car seats, anything you can keep taut while rolling back and forth. It picks up hair well, and emptying the collected fur is surprisingly satisfying. However, it falls short on clothing, which is why I originally got it. Sleeves are too narrow, shirts bunch up, and the back-and-forth motion just drags the fabric around instead of removing hair efficiently. Pants work a little better if you’re wearing them, but even then it isn’t as quick or effective as a basic sticky lint roller. So for furniture, I’d absolutely use it. For clothes, I’m going back to the $3–5 sticky tape rollers. Sometimes the simple solution really is the better one. I’ll definitely keep this around because it has a place in my cleaning routine, but it wasn’t the all-purpose pet hair remover I was hoping for. Great for the couch. My wardrobe remains under German Shepherd occupation.

A must-have for cat owners! Effortless hair removal.
I cannot recommend the Roller enough. If you have pets—especially cats—this is an absolute must-have tool in your home. I’ve been using this since 2024, and despite accidentally dropping it several times, it still feels as sturdy as new. It’s incredibly durable and built to last! Effective: It picks up cat hair incredibly easily and much more efficiently than traditional sticky lint rollers. Reusable & Eco-Friendly: Unlike disposable rollers that you constantly have to peel off, this one is reusable, which is a huge plus. Results: As you can see in my attached "before and after" photos, it cleared all the hair from my chair in seconds. It works best if you use a steady back-and-forth motion. Once the storage compartment is full, simply pop it open to empty it, and it’s ready to go again. It’s perfect for furniture, rugs, and bedding. This tool has saved me so much time and frustration. If you are tired of struggling with pet hair everywhere, do yourself a favor and get this!

Worth every cent and more
Where has this been all my life?! I have a lab x staffy who sheds so much that I wonder how he isn’t bald. This just entirely got the fur off my bedding and couch in 5 minutes flat with no effort, a job that normally takes double the time with the vacuum and still leaves a lot of fur behind, or needing to go through an entire roll of a sticky lint roller. I was hesitant due to the cost, but I’m amazed it’s totally worth it. No complaints, 10 stars if I could.

Très efficace sur les poils de chats
Excellent ! J'étais sceptique et avais un peu peur d'investir au regard du prix... Mais je dois avouer que ça bat largement tous les autres outils utilisés pour retirés les poils de chats sur mes habits noirs.

Still my number #1 after four years
This thing EATS cat hair. It's the only thing that works, time and time again. I hate using single use rollers, and sticky washable ones are annoying to clean. This one works well, it's simple, it's fast, it's effective. My only complaint is that it can be tricky to use on small/cramped areas due to the size of the roller. But that negative is completely overriden by the fact that I bought this 4 years ago and it is STILL the item I reach for to get ride of cat hair
