General overview, not step by step process
Good basic info. Still not a step by step process as I would've liked. Only a couple pages for the SOHC witch was disappointing.

In general overview of cam installation, maintanace, and more towards blue printing for cam shaft
The good, In detail or step by step info about cam and more towards a blue printing for the cam shaft The bad, Not too deep in effect of the cam profile towards making horse power/ engine torque in terms of the effect on different cam profile for exhaust cam n intake cam, overlap effect or effect in advance or retarding the cam timing in intake or exhaust towards engine performance. To summarize, there is no info how engine behave or characteristic involving cam specific timing when we play around intake timing or exhaust timing and valve lift

Good one time read. Explains well many dynamic concepts but I do not refer back to it as a reference book.

Title is misleading
This book teaches you a lot about the camshaft and it's function in a combustion engine but it doesn't help you at all in selecting the correct camshaft for YOUR engine.
