Q: Can u place inside a fireplace ?

We did with ours so that we didn’t have to burn wood. We also used a piece of insulation foam and put that inside the fireplace, unable to see unless you look up into the fireplace, so that the heat didn’t just go up the chimney. We also have an older house, built in 1929.

Q: Which side of the fire logs is the Power cord. My outlet is on the left side of my fireplace, facing it. Will it work?

My cord came on right side. I need on left and bought this one because of Q & A. Need to call to see if I can get on left side.

Yes, you can. I have found it doesn't put out as much heat as I expected so I turned my off. I have glass doors on my fireplace.
