Q: My knee measurements are 41-42cm, am I best sizing down to a small or up to a medium? Thank you :)

Size is correct for the brace and the straps are a good length. If you have measured as the guide there should not be a problem. The company is pretty good about changing the brace if there is a problem.

Q: Should I take out the hinges if exercising with this product?

I would'nt. Depends on how much stability you have with sideways movement.

Q: is there a brace for left or right leg? My injury is the right knee and the straps rub on my left leg. Can you use it upside down?

My bad knee was also on the right side. I never had a problem as i wore it under my jeans. That worked well

Q: Is this brace supportive enough for skiing?

I would imagine so , I use mine for doing Zumba and weights in the gym. It is very comfortable and the more you use it the better it feels
