Does the use of this product include wiping the dog's ears with anything? Or do you just spinkle and leave it?

As you shouldn't get it in the ear canal I dusted it on with a spare new eyeshadow brush (or child's paint brush) so that the power can be directed to the right place. Everywhere but the actual ear canal. Calmed my pups redness and irritation.

Will this work well on cats as all reviews are about dogs ?

This is suitable for both dogs and cats and is very easy to apply I use a small, soft make up brush to dust the inside of the ear, keeping it dry and clean You can also use by dabbing some on with a soft cotton pad This powder is much better than using ‘wet’ products such as drops and ear bath solutions, because the bacteria which grows inside the warm, moist conditions of the ear are quickly eradicated with this super powder Once your pet’s ears are clear of canker/mess, you need only use this once ot twice a week, so is good value for money Good luck

How does this work if the ingredients are just talc magnesium etc???

Who are we to explain why :) but I used this very recently on our 2 dogs who both had picked a nasty smelly ear infection and it cleared it up in days. I totally recommend it.
