Scriptural Rosary: How to Pray the Rosary and Meditate on the Mysteries including Bible Verses, Art, Reflections, and the Fatima Story

I have absolutely been loving this Catholic Rosary Book. I had many questions about reading the Rosary, and how to pray it. This book has been so helpful in my ongoing journey to become Catholic. It describes wonderfully - in wording I can clearly understand - what every point of the Rosary is. The pictures are beautiful, and the book is a size that I can easily carry wherever I go. (Please excuse the obvious tape on my book, I only put that there to protect the paperback edges).

Kathryn Marcellino’s book on the rosary is a clear and helpful guide to prayer. She takes the reader step by step through the process of praying the mysteries of the rosary with easy-to-follow instructions. As a bonus, she also provides illuminating background information on the rosary. The rosary provides a way to meditate daily on the “mysteries” of the gospel. Each mystery focuses on an event in the life of Christ (or, in some cases, the life of Mary). There are twenty mysteries in all, arranged in four sets of five mysteries each. For example, the Joyful Mysteries invite reflection on (1) the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary that she would be the mother of the Messiah, (2) Mary’s subsequent visit to her kinswoman Elizabeth, (3) the birth of Jesus, (4) His presentation by Mary and Joseph in the temple, and (5) His being found as a boy in the temple by His parents. Marcellino’s treatment includes twenty replicated fine art pieces, each representing an event in Jesus’ life and serving as aid in meditation. At the conclusion of the book is a lovely account of the appearance of Mary to three children in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917. It is a fascinating and inspiring story that Marcellino employs to great effect in demonstrating the significance of the rosary in interceding for the world. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to pray the rosary or to anyone who simply wants to know more about the rosary.

I was an athiest..lol..I'm now converting to Catholicism...I have never had anyone show me how to pray the rosary..This guided me through it perfectly..and also outlines the mysteries that I meditate on...From this book, I have made my rosary a daily meditation..Great book!

Wow! Beautiful scriptures, meditations and pictures for each decade. Also the story of Fatima with pictures, and the 15 promises of our Lady for praying the Rosary at the end!

For those who pray the Rosary daily, having different 'guides' keeps your mind occupied with the scriptures. This one is very good and I recommend it.

A full size book with very small pamphlet size pictures. Im trying to find a book with good rosary pictures, instead this is mostly words. Changed from 1 to 4 because the meditations and such are that good.

This is a wonderful book which helped me better understand how to pray the Rosary and the meaning behind it. I highly recommend reading this book.

A beautiful booklet. I love it because it contains the stories of the mysteries, the scripture of the mysteries and a thought point to meditate on while you're praying the particular mysteries. I have several books on the rosary and I alternate between them just to keep my meditations fresh. I love them all as they all have different 'takes' on the meanings of the mysteries. One more thing: it contains the luminous mysteries which my old booklet doesn't!

It's all I needed as a beginner to be able to understand the Prayer order and structure of the Holy Rosary in order to learn the Prayers, and Mysteries and be able to meditate on them. The visual imagery and explanation of each Mystery helps to focus your thoughts and Prayers. On the back cover, all 20 Mysteries Titled EG. Joy full etc. And are named EG. The Annunciation etc. Complete with images and which days to pray them on. This book also includes "The Fatima Story". Lovely little easy to follow guide. 🙏🤗👋
