Efficient cleaner, does pool floor & walls, easy assembly, good buy
Efficient cleaner, does pool floor and walls. On some walls it falls off halfway up depending on the pump speed set. But often it goes straight up to clean the tile line. Once it hits air it falls back down in 6-10 seconds. The air-sucking sound can be a little annoying so I don't run it at night. It seems like the longer I have it the better it gets the walls, like its learning the pool area more with time. I have a variable speed pump. I upgraded this to 5 stars now that I've had it over 3 years. It works even at lower pump speeds like 1700 rpm. At first it focused on deep end. But I "retrained" it by pulling it to shallow end. Once it got the route down it was fine. It has some kind of built-in memory system. So far it picks up leaves and dirt with no problem, with rarely getting clogged. Very pleased so far. It doesn't get steps or in-pool seats but I can live with that. Only needed 7 of the 10 hoses. It rarely gets stuck. I have an Avg size inground rectangle pool = about 11'x 30' , 5' deep with side suction port in about the middle. Did not use or need supply bag with control valve, etc. Good product so far. Sometimes it gets carried away with the wall cleaning. Recently it cleaned the tile and broke the air surface 3 times in 60 seconds. That's unusual. It makes this air suction sound when it does but it keeps it clean. But I adjust the valve to more skimmer and less vacuum and that solves that. After 3 years the "intentional bump" on the tires wears down. That "bump" keeps it from getting stuck. So you eventually have to replace the tires. But that's simple. It's a good product.

Works as advertised.
My second one. First lasted 5 years of constant 365 days a year, 4 hrs per day 16500 gallon freshwater pool. I like the replaceable wheels, changed tires once a year. Excellent job on pool floors and walls. Combine with an inline canister filter to limit pump filter clogging. First one was white , new one is gray. Looks like gray is up rezistent (not stated by Hayward.

Reaches every corner!
This is my third pool vacuum. The first two I was very happy with, but they broke down over time. (1) The Hayward Navigator needed regular maintenance and just quit working after a few years. But I was very happy with it. (2) The Viper Creepy Crawley worked great with no maintenance for many years, although plastic pieces broke off, it continued to work great. But the Hayward W3PVS40GST Poolvergnuegen is far superior in cleaning and reaches every corner! It's the first time I've been able to get the corners and about 2 feet up the sides of the pool. I'm very satisfied!

Hose kinks
The vacuum works great, but within a week the hoses were collapsing and kinking. It’s a good looking vacuum and we love the color of the hoses but they just don’t work. I’m going to keep the vacuum and buy new hoses.

Best vacuum I have purchased
I have had nothing but issues with every vacuum I have put in my pool. A friend suggested a sweep similar to this one. Once the current sweep I had needed repairs, I decided to purchase a new one. After a month of researching new sweeps, I purchased this sweep. After getting it put together correctly, this thing works great. It has picked up leaves and sticks with no issues yet. My pool is cleaner than it has been in years and I do not have to babysit the sweep every night to make sure it’s not stuck thinking about picking up a grain of dirt. The only issue I had was the swivel was not fully assembled. It came with a white ring and a blue ring, but was not identified in the instructions. I watched a few videos to see if I could figure it out and found these rings keep the swivel attached to the housing. If they are not installed, the swivel sucks down agains the turbine and causes a massive vibration. The rings have to be pressed on and do take some good force to get them seated. I am very happy with the sweep so far and it sounds like very low maintenance, longer intervals between having to maintenance the sweep.

Simple but great for pool floors
First pool cleaner that is simple and works great. Happy with the purchase and would recommend it for pool floor cleaning. Doesn’t really get up the walls but that is secondarily for me.

sending back
My wife and I hooked this thing up last weekend to take it for a test drive. We tired every trouble shooting recommendation given and could never get it to work as advertised. It would stay in the deep end of the pool and make a pass of about 4 or 5 feet then stop and change directions for another 4 or 5 feet and repeat itself. Never once making one long path, hitting the wall and turning around. It would not climb the walls either. The few attempts it made at going up the non vertical walls it would only go up about 15 inches then turn itself back. Some passes it made it would pick up the small debris but other times it would roll right over it and do nothing. I'm sure my pump was providing plenty of suction since the intake on the skimmer would nearly suck in my arm up to my elbow when trying to see if that was the problem. Anyway we fooled around with this thing all day trying to get it to work properly and never could. I told my wife to box it up and I'd get my $400 back. When I use my manual vacuum head it works perfectly, having no issue sucking up dirt and debris.
