TMT-TC-2 Tip Tinner (20g) in 0.8oz Container

I honestly don't know why I have been soldering without using this. Tip tinner is a total game changer when it comes to soldering. I was struggling figuring out how to re-solder some mouse switches onto a PCB and kept having issues getting the solder to transfer to the pad properly. It also took a century to heat up the pad. I watched a few videos on soldering and this was suggested in one of the videos. I thought hey it's cheap why not give it a try and MAN DOES THIS STUFF WORK! It almost instantly helped the pad take heat from the iron and gave me a perfect solder with flux on the first try, and I am not even good at soldering. It was so much easier to use than trying to finagle the solder wire onto the tip and having it drip or splash everywhere. I originally thought I fried a PCB trying to transfer heat for too long onto the pad and this makes it a 1 second operation. Here is some tl;dr- Pros: - Easy to use - Can tin your tip with one hand while holding something - Works like a charm and shines the soldering tip perfectly - More than enough product for projects. You only use a little bit on the tip of the iron. - Great price for amount you get - Small tin easy to fit in soldering kit Cons: - Maybe the tin is a little hard to open sometimes? - A little bit of dust fell out when opening the tin, but easily cleanable.

Better than Sal Amoniac.... It's basically powedered sal amoniac, powedered tin and flux holding it together into a paste. Just dip a hot cruddy tip in there, melt up a small b=puddle and pull out a brand new tip. On rare occasions (like if you used the solding iron to "weld" plastic) you may need to scrape the tip a bit with a rasor knife. But it's a 30 second tip tune up that will make the rest of your soldering a breeze.

Using for stained glass whenever my tip seems dull or oxidized. This stuff works wonders and my soldering is better!

I love this tip tinner it works smoothly and is an easy coating and I feel it's plenty quantity for thr price, I havnt had any issues with it so far and definalty helps to keep my tips in good condition and last longer! Great tinner!

Product did exactly what I needed it to do. Excellent product. I have struggled with soldering for a long time and I can't believe how good this product is. 1,2,3... that was how easy it was to solder. I wish that I would have known about this product sooner. Thank you for making my soldering jobs a breeze. I used the tip tinner with ESSMETUIN Rosin Flux paste and they worked beautifully together.

At a fraction of the cost of a big name brand, this stuff works amazingly well. I keep several containers of this in stock at all times. It's a cheap investment to protect your expensive soldering iron tips!

Idk what to say, it works quite well, even managed to partially revive a tip that had been subjected to a highly corrosive, faulty flux product, the tin is small, but you don't really need that much

Restored heavily used soldering iron tip used for stained glass to perfect working order! My favorite tip for stained glass was getting dark and not performing well, thought I was either losing my touch, iron was going bad, or I needed a new tip. Alas, I didn't know you need to tin the tips once in a while after they get dark. This stuff did the trick and my tip is working perfectly again!!! Good stuff, easy to use. Will buy a couple more tins later when this one runs low. Must have for my glass studio.

Brought a tip back to life before my very eyes. It took quite a long time, this tip really was in need of some love. But it worked! And I've been buying new tips whenever they stopped sticking to the solder. Now I know I can use this to freshen them up occasionally and even bring one back to life if needed.

Cumple su función correctamente, que es mantener la punta del cautin o soldador funcional. Si no tienes una pasta como esta para limpiar la punta del soldador, la punta se pone negra y ya no se adhiere el estaño, ni calienta correctamente, lo que hace imposible la soldadura. I always have trouble keeping my soldering tips tinned and just a small dip into this with a hot tip.... tins up perfectly. Watch out for fumes... it's a bit pungent.
