I purchased this for my box anchor setup. I have not set that up yet, but I did own one of these on my last boat and it is incredible. Strong, adjustable and dependable.

The stainless is beautiful and this clip is strong. Works flawlessly with a 3/8" anchor rope. I've got about 34 feet of anchor line that I use in a small boat on local lakes where that is the maximum depth, and this allows me to set my anchor depth at whatever I want and clip it off to the bow eye very easily. Great product!

I was hoping to find something similar elsewhere for less, but it seems the Danik Hook (patent pending) has the market cornered. I ordered a couple, despite the price tag, and was quite surprised at how well they seem to be made. Very solid and easy to use. I've used them for 3/8" and 5/8" rope and had no problems with either diameter. Just be careful when tossing this overboard to your deckhand (wife), they're quite heavy and will definitely leave a mark!Considering the investment that these hooks are protecting, I've changed my mind and wouldn't want to pay less for anything of lesser quality.
