Pillows smaller then picture, but sturdy and comfortable.
Feels comfortable and sturdy. Pillows are smaller in person then they look in pictures advertised.Doesn't come with hanging brackets or anything other than a carbineer to hang, so must purchase hardware separately. We put it in a tree so used rope around branch and then clipped in the carbineer. I love it!

Way more than I was expecting
I usually do not write reviews but I had to come back two months later and write a review for this. I bought this back in October for myself. It was intended to go on my back porch. When I got the product, for the heck of it, I hooked it to some hardware I have attached in my family room/ playroom. (My son is autistic and we used to have his sensory swing hanging in this spot.) I thought it was just a novelty as the kids fought over who gets to sit in it. But two months later, it is the favorite seat in the house. My 11 year old autistic son loves to sit in it to do his schoolwork and uses it like his sensory swing. My 15 and 16 year olds also love to sit in it. All of them have fallen asleep in it at some point. I also get to use it and it is so relaxing. There is something about lightly swinging that just calms the body.As far as durability, this swing has been used a lot every day since October. It holds well over 200 pounds. The ropes are holding up nicely. The canvas seat is soft- not rough and itchy. The two throw pillows that come with it are meh, but we usually just sit on them piled in the bottom of the swing. You can use other pillows though. Some reviews have said it is not big enough for an adult. It is. This is not a full lounging hammock. It is a seat. I sit in it and my whole body from head to knees fit comfortably. Your legs do hang off as it isn’t a bed. Overall, I have been so impressed by this purchase and can’t believe it wasn’t very expensive. Oh and it has yet to make it to my porch- I may have to buy another one for out there.UPDATE seven months later: still the favorite and most used seat in the house. No, it did not ever make it outside to my porch. It is still holding up great- no rips or wearing down. Really impressed considering how much this seat is used every day!Update #2: a year later, still the favorite seat in the house, and yeah, never made it out to the porch :) And it is holding up great. We use it every day and there are no rips or tears or signs of it giving out. One of my favorite Amazon purchases!Update #3: still fave seat in our playroom. Never made it outside. But he held up very well for over a year and a half. The material shows signs of wear but no rips or tears. The ropes are showing a little wear, but surprisingly still in good condition.Update #4: I have to come back and say that after OVER 2 1/2 years of DAILY frequent use by my whole family and their friends, the ropes at the top finally gave out. However, I am immediately ordering another one- the same one- to replace this one in our playroom. The old one is still good if we just replace the top rope. We are going to replace the rope and FINALLY put it outside where it was supposed to go in the first place. One of my favorite Amazon purchases ever!

It’s ok for the price but read my comment to help understand why it’s just ok.
It was hard to give these a star review and here’s why:Pros:1. The chair seems very sturdy and held weight. We didn’t test it over 250lbs but it definitely held that weight easily.2. We also really like that it comes with the metal bars and not wooden or easily breakable dowels.3. The price is good for these.4. Very easy to put together. Took less than 5 minutes from when we opened the box to when we were trying them out.5. It’s comfy enough. I’ve definitely sat in much cozier hammock chairs but it will be sufficient for my goal.Cons:1. Do NOT waste money on the pillows. Buy the cheaper one because the pillows are absolutely terrible. Flat, no puff or comfort. Basically just annoyance to keep around.2. The hanging “string” doesn’t have much play. So we will have to buy a chain or something to allow it to hang low enough for people to get into. For reference it is going on an 8ft high swing area. I’m 5’8” and needed a 12 inch stool to climb into into.3. Some of the threading on the sides look loose. I’m a little concerned about long term viability of these.4. The carabiner included with the chair is complete garbage. We went to Lowe’s and got a more substantial one that will definitely support the weight that this swing says it can hold.5. I know it said it didn’t include mounting hardware so I wasn’t unprepared but it’s really annoying to have to buy lots of extra things!6. Definitely can’t leave this out in the weather. It will have to be taken down and reinstalled each time we want to use them.Overall I’m giving it a mediocre review because well it was great for day one but there’s definitely some draw backs.
