Love the balm, but the tin was a fight to open.
I am a huge Tokyo Milk Lip Elixir fan, I've never met a pot I didn't like. That said when I opened the box and took out my other items, right away I was washed over with a wave of Salted Caramel aroma. So good I could eat it! The balm itself is slightly thick, but it is very long lasting, and the flavor dissipates sorta quick, but I can't complain about that at all. If you find it too thick, try heating it with a hairdryer if you can, it melts it a little and makes it easier to apply and not as thick seeming. The only con to this was, the tin was darn near impossible to open. I tried wedging three different knife points along the seam to force it open and it would not budge. I bought a second one in the same shipment, and I ran into the same problem, would not open. I was giving one to my ma, and I didn't want her to have the same difficulty, so I tried using a thin knife to open the tin- putting a dent in it, but I finally got it open. She can't close it all the way, otherwise we'd have to go through the same thing all over again. So she has the lid cockeyed so she can easily get it open. All in all, I love this line of lip balms, it was worth the frustration to get it open, the smell is glorious and I would definitely buy this flavor again.

THE best lip balm!!!
I LOVE this product! Initially, I purchased it locally from a variety store in my town. One little tub of this lasted me almost 3 years! I use it once in the morning as I leave the house and again right before bed. It keeps my lips moisturized and protected from both bitter winter winds in the winter (-20 degrees Fahrenheit / -29 degrees Celsius), and burning sun in the summer (90+ degrees F / 32+ degrees C).It smells amazing; slightly like cloves, but woodier and calmer. This particular scent could be very unisex - for men or women. After almost 3 years of use, I ran out and my local shop no longer sells it, so I bought a new tub of it on Amazon. The tub is very sturdy, however it doesn't screw on or anything - I would NOT store it in my purse or in a hot car!!! I leave it on my counter top right next to the door, and I would recommend storing it on a flat, cool surface. It would definitely melt in heat. That being said, it is a soft formula so it wouldn't be difficult to scoop it into a screw-on, travel size balm container, and then you could take it with you everywhere you go! It is an amazing product!!!

Great product with an IMPOSSIBLE tin.
This is a great product! Feels great, though a little greasy. I can't stop smelling it. The only issue, like everyone else and their mom has said, is that the tin is dang near IMPOSSIBLE to open. These reviews are NOT exaggerating at all! It took me over an hour to open this thing, and by the time I was done (three broken nails, a bent kitchen knife and a blunted multi-tool later) the once-adorable little tin looked like it had been slammed with a truck. It's dented, scratched and beaten beyond repair. I can open and close it now that I've bent the lid a bit to give me more grip and loosen it from the bottom.THIS PRODUCT SMELLS LIKE HAPPINESS. I love salted caramel and I was very pleased to find that this balm smells EXACTLY like fresh caramel from a gourmet chocolate place. I was kind of expecting it to smell like a cheap candle or have the plastic aftertaste and smell of Chapsticks, but you can't smell anything other delicious desserts. It also has stevia in it so it tastes amazing too. Not sickly sweet, but the combination of sweetener and smell makes you feel like you're actually eating caramel. It has a nice consistency, although the petrolatum base makes it a bit greasy, but I can live with that. I can also put this on my peeling nose and it works wonders!Other than the issue of the tin, this is a phenomenal product that's definitely worth the price.

Great clove balm!
I've been looking for a clove lip balm for a couple years now ever since Burt's Bees discontinued their clove balm.I stumbled across TokyoMilk by chance and decided to give this a shot.I've gotta say, I love this balm; it has a distinct clove scent and smell, and though not as potent up-front as Burt's Bees was, the overall impression lasts longer. I also really like the consistency of this lip balm - it's not messy, goopy, slimy, or shiny once applied. It also doesn't 'melt' when you keep it in your pocket like a lot of lip balms tend to do.I can also tell that the balm is going to last for quite some time, I've been using it for a few weeks now and I've barely made a dent.I'm not sure where all of the complaints about the container being tough to open are coming from - I've yet to experience any difficulty opening the tin, and it stays shut perfectly once closed.All-in-all, this is my go-to lip balm, and I'm looking forward to trying the different types available.

If you want a sexy twist on traditional lip balms for a good price.
Huge tin! Well worth the price, keeps lips moist, smells unique and wonderful. Doesn't taste bad! Doesn't have much of a taste at all. A tad sticky but not in a glossy way, a nice thick coverage.Still not my favorite lip balm, it certainly is unique and a great addition to your go-bag.

Disappointed
I've been searching for a new lip balm and buying many different brands recently. This is the one I couldn't wait to receive and REALLY wanted to love. The one great thing I can say about it is the scent. Heavenly!!That's where it ended for me. It's extremely thick, very sticky, even sticking to my teeth. I was so distracted by how uncomfortable it felt, trying to smooth it out, taking a little off at a time in case I had it on too thick, the sensation of it on my teeth, that I couldn't concentrate on anything else. It seems to be very popular, but it's not for me.I did try putting a little behind my ears like a cream perfume (I'm telling you it smells GREAT, lol), but it was to thick, sticky and distracting for that too.
