They work
I used to smoke a pack a day. I have quit cold turkey. The first 3 days are the worst. Unfortunately, I tried a vape. I have bad anxiety and my brother gave me one & it helped. It eventually became an expensive habit. I have quit a few times. Right now I am down to 2mg Nicorette gum. I have quit once before using these, then used the gum to help with depression and low energy. Rn I donโt have to money to keep buying the gum. So I have finally decided to quit the gum(even the Walmart brand adds up $38 for 160). You canโt eat or drink anything 15 minutes before or after using the gum. So can cause issues with dehydration, since nicotine is a diuretic. I am starting out at step two and donโt foresee any issues. Once I run out of the gum, which should be 7-8 days. I will be using these, then going to 7mg and quitting. I usually use Nicorette for the first patches, then switch to a cheaper alternative. I used to get rite aid patches. They worked great, but they no longer sell them, since rite aid went out of business. I donโt see any other patches with good ry Here are a few tips and things you may experience: First wipe the area. It will work better. Put it on and push down hard on it for about a minute. The heat from your hand will help it stick better. Second, I have seen negative reviews about redness and rashes. That is perfectly normal and goes away in several hours. It even mentions it on the box. They are clear and you will see it red under the patch. That is the med working. It doesnโt hurt, but is definitely noticeable. Third, this is made by GSK. So they have better quality control. They arenโt cheap, but absolutely work. You wonโt have anxiety and wonโt need to smoke. I have used each step for a month last time. Step two should be fine for me though. I have also heard some people have weird dreams while on them. If this happens. Take the patch off at night and apply the next morning. I never had that problem. It can itch sometimes . It can be very annoying, but will go away in less than 15 minutes. If you are really trying to quit. Forget the gum or lozenges. You put this on in the morning and go about your day. You wonโt be thinking abut cigarettes. I would definitely recommend these. The cost is high, but you will save money in the long run. Also, apply it after a shower. I wouldnโt recommend wearing these in the shower.

ITS NOT STICKY BUT WHO CARES!? MAKE IT WORK! IT WORKS!
Does it work? It works better than any of them. Is it that sticky? No. ๐งShould you use a bandaid or athletes tape to press that thing to your skin? Yes! Because if youโre at the end of your rope and want to stop.. youโll do that. Do any of the other brands stick better? No. Iโve tried so many itโs ridiculous. Does it irritate your skin? Rash and redness? Yes. Slap the area a few times, pain will go away. Where should you put it and when? An area that isnโt sensitive. Best time is when your out of the shower and donโt have all the oils in your skin. Or just wash and dry the spot prior to placement. I canโt even count how many โquitsโ Iโve been through.. vaping!! Vaping is a royal pain in my neck! I literally couldnโt stop. Need it when I wake up, before shutting eyes for sleep, in the car, everywhere. I hit it casually every 5 to 10 min. Itโs bad. I hate the side effects of vaping but Iโm addicted. The worst is that it makes me tired. I started with the Step Two because Step One is out of my league. As much as I smoked/vaped I couldnโt hold down a Step One. I vaped a 6 salt nic vape and Step One was outrageous! Anyways. I know itโs not sticky but make it work!! Because this is literally keeping me back for the first time! ๐ค๐ค you got this!

Easy Recipe to Quit
I am a smoker of about 20 years that smoked about a pack a day. I loved having one to relax, enjoy weather on the patio or with a drink. To be clear, I have never wanted to stop smoking, but I knew it was something that needed to happen. I have attempted to stop three times and I will take the time to highlight my failed and successful attempts because it is worth it. Before we start, smoking is a chemical and psychological addiction, which I think we all know. I see two factors to it. Not only are we addicted to the nicotine, but we are addicted to the habit and emotional responses that are tied to the habit. First Attempt (not successful): This attempt was a long time ago. I used Chantix and it assisted in no way for me. Personally, I don't recommend this. Second attempt (more successful): I was prescribed Buproprian or Wellbutrin. Buproprian assists with the nicotine withdraws. It took about a week to get used to the medication and it was uncomfortable the first few days like with any medication. It initially made me really tired and I slept a lot. I was also really emotional about breaking up with smoking. It felt like a true breakup because I was so attached to the habit. You feel the new chemical in your body. You smoke for two weeks while on the medication and select a hard cutoff date. I found the medication extremely helpful with curving cravings. In addition to the medication, I used a vape with liquid that contained no nicotine. I was successful with this for 6 months. HERE IS WHERE I FAILED: The vape kept the addiction to the habit and when I went out to have drinks socially, towards the end, I gave myself allowances by having a drag or just smoking one. Eventually it leads to more than one, then just one pack and finally, you are smoking again. You CANNOT give yourself allowances. Last attempt (most successful): I was already on Lexapro (anti-depressant/anxiety/10MG) this time which is also supposed to assist with the withdraws and curve cravings. I added Buproprian (150MG) again. While both assist with withdraws, I assume that Buproprian alone will work, but have not tested that with the rest of the factors I am about to list. This combo made me extremely tired where I slept all day. So I cut both medications in half and that worked in regard to the medications. If I was only taking Buproprian without Lexapro, I would take the full amount and not half it. In addition, I added the patch to it. I knew this time, no vape and no allowances. First few days: I wanted a cigarette, but didn't need one. 1-3 weeks, you minds breaks ties with the habit part (i.e.--being outside on your favorite patio, smoking after eating). It is kind of a trip, you think "oh, I need to go smoke a cigarette right now". Not because you are craving it, but because you trained yourself to. You then remember that you cannot. After 2-3 weeks, you have already replaced the habit portion with other daily habits--even if it is being in all of the same places, but with the absence of smoking. I have tested many options and read 1000s of reviews on how to stop smoking. If you don't want to spin your wheels and become discouraged, I suggest looking into the last option I listed. As a once hardcore smoker that couldn't imagine my life without it. I can say that the first couple of days are a little uncomfortable, you forget about the habit a few weeks in. I feel like the craving goes away before your miss of the actual habit. Ultimately, there is some residual. Maybe once a month, a thought pops into my head that a cigarette would taste really good right now, but it quickly goes away. It is nothing I would act on again. The residual is missing the memories of the taste. Hope this helps. Good luck!!

Awesomeness bundled in a patch
Niocoderm CQ is a fantastic NRT and far superior to store bought brands. I tried a wallgreens brand, and while it stuck just fine and looks almost exactly the same, something in its delivery system is amiss. I quickly felt the lack of nicotine, despite the same 14 mg dosage, as the nicoderm CQ patches I just ran out of. Listen, I know it costs a few more bucks, but it is soooo worth it, not to mention substantially cheaper than cigarettes. These clear patches stick great, I can remove hair with these and they do not come off during workouts or even a bath or a shower. Have been using them for a couple of months and never had one come off. If you have trie quitting cold turkey in the past and couldn't quite deal with the side ffects, try these patches. They have me well on my way to being quit for good. After 24 years of smoking a pack or more a day, I am cigarette free. I don't smell like a garbage can, my teeth are whiter, I can take a nice deep breat, I smell everything and anything, my sense of flavor has improved. Its just such a massive improvement in my life, and much of it thanks to a great NRT like these Nicoderm CQ patches. Thanks to slow release of nicotine, it helps you avoid massive cravings and up and down type feelings during your quit. Really worth a try. A couple tips: - You can cut these aprticular ones into smaller patches, so instead of buying step 3 patches (7mg) you can buy step 1 patches and cut those into thirds or buy step 2 patches and cut them in half. Will save you a bundle. Step 2 and 3 of these are exactly the same thing, except smaller in size. - You can get some insanely vivid dreams if you go to bed with a patch. I choose to take my off right before bed to avoid waking up 2 or 3 times during the night. SOme people experience vivid nightmares, but there are some who enjoy this experience. Not me. - pick a date, commit and leave this nasty habbit in the past. These babies will help you in a huge way. -

Skin burns and lacks adhesive.
I had no issues with Step 1 patches, but with Step 2 my skin burns and gets irritated to the point where a mark remains for days. Despite following the instructions and pressing down on the patch for a half a minute, the patches keep falling off which did not happen with Step 1 patches. Not sure if this was a bad batch or if production was rushed seeing as they were backordered.

I recommend using the gum as a cheat aid if your ...
Dipped Copenhagen straight for 5 years, my last year I was up to a can a day of dip. I also smoke when I drink or stressed out. I just graduated college, and i worked as a bar manager so I was constantly stressed and surrounded by cigerrette smoke. I started with 21mg patches for 3 weeks, 14 mg for 2 weeks, 7mg for 2 weeks, and now I'm chewing uplease to two pieces of 2 mg gum a day if I'm stressed. My goal was to quit chew tabacco. So smoking 1 or 2 cigerrette a week when stressed wasn't considered cheating for me. Don't stop using the patches if you end up slipping though. Quiting nicotine takes a toll, and requires a lot of patience. You have to really want to quit if you want ANY quit aid to work. If you have to use the patches bc of work or other obligation, I recommend using the gum as a cheat aid if your craving/ nicking real bad. I have not dipped in over 2 months. I occasionally will smoke a cigerrette but now my goal is to quit that also. I HIGHLY recommend this product. People are complaining that the patches fall off, and this is unfortunately true for the larger 21mg and 14mg patches. Did not have this problem with the 7mg patches (I could even shower with it) . I don't see why it falling off merits a bad review though, just use two band aids at the corners to keep it from peeling off and it works like a charm. I would definitely do some research on what to expect, such as nicotine withdrawals, before quitting so that you understand what your getting into. Great product, it works, start quitting today.

The Smokeless Journey ( Title for my novel, life story, etc...)
I started my smoke free journey almost 3 months ago. I wasn't too sure if this would work because i started smoking when i was 13. I am now 24 married, my wife and i are having our first kid. I wanted to quit because i didn't want to be controlled by an addiction anymore. I could've cared less about the price, health risk, or the smoking bans. I pretty much smoked a pack a day and decided for to start with step 2 because reviews i saw that said step 3 was very strong. I recommend if you can go 2 hours without smoking then try step 2. I have tried to quit before using hypnosis, electric cigarettes, and just quitting cold turkey. Nothing has ever worked but i also wasn't quitting for the right reasons i was quitting for other people. You have to truly want to quit to quit successfully. I was very surprised that it does knock down the cravings. You still have them they are just a lot weaker and can be ignored. I was doing so good the first week(I even threw a full pack away)then the last day of the week came. I couldn't concentrate, I was over stressed at work(I am the boss by the way), and my employees were testing my patience. I had a weak point and smoked a cigarette. At first it felt good, then i realized i just screwed myself over by giving in. I was so depressed that day i tried my hardest not to smoke, but I broke down and had one anyway. I thought the whole process had to halt just because i smoked. The next day i decided to stick with it mostly because cigarettes tasted like crap after a week without smoking(you wouldn't think it would only take a week, but it did). I smoked two more times(a week between each time). I realized the three things that were going to help me quit 1.) THE TASTE for a smoker i loved the taste of a cigarette especially with a beer. After a week it tasted like someone poured an ashtray in my mouth. 2.) IGNORE IT find a new hobby trust me you can find one real easy when trying to keep your mind off smoking. 3.) I hated this one DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL trust me(I even went without drinking beer on the super bowl, i drank liquor though. I crave a cigarette the most when i drink beer i could smoke three packs in a night when drank a lot of beer. I only drink heavy like maybe twice a month because of work. The point is figure out what your weaknesses are avoid them, then gradually come back to them. Trust me i celebrated two days after my last patch with a lot of beer. Cravings do not go away after i finished the patch i started to realize that they never go away you were just building your mental resistance to them. The BIGGEST thing to remember is THEY GO AWAY if YOU IGNORE them. I have an addicting personality so if i can do it anybody can do it. Alright i am done writing my novel.

Patches work great and last a long time, beware of false discounts though.
I have tried other patches and they were not as sticky or effective as these. These last all day, do okay when working outside or in the yard, do not fall off easily, and are clear on the skin so they are less noticeable when out in public.... I am giving only 3 stars not because of the product, but because of Amazon and this seller. I dislike the inconsistent and deceptive pricing. This has happened quite a bit but the most recent example is: 10/21 they jacked the price from $43.99 all the way up to $73.27 and discounted it "-40%" to the sale price of $43.97 (2 cent savings) and then today I go to order my last box of this step and the price has returned to $43.99 but this time with an actual discount of 21% for the competitive price of 34.69. Its stuff like this that has stopped me from shopping at many big box stores and dialing back my spending on Amazon.
