lots of leverage and built to last.
This thing is Awesome! As long as I figure which way to stick the cord it really is built well and provides lots of leverage.

Loosens tight Fittings with ease
What a lifesaver for me. Used on large PVC pool coupler I could not loosen on my own. Saved the day.

Strap wrench
Don't even waste your time with this one as soon as you start to use it and compress the belt to loosen or tighten something it broke the little pins that hold the strap to the arm just snap right off this is a piece of junk

Cheap rivets
The cheap rivets pulled out the first time I used it. I replaced them with small machine screws, nuts, and washers.

Seems quite strong all around. Helped me separate my car's fan clutch from the water pump pulley
I used this wrench (with the 15" strap, I believe) to hold the water pump pulley on my 2001 Mercedes ML 320 so I could use a 36mm wrench to loosen and replace the fan clutch. This wrench was all but perfect for the job; you sort of need an extra half a hand to hold the strap tight against the wrench handle (pawl area, I guess you could call it) to begin levering. With that in mind, if I were doing this all over again I would purchase the one with an even longer strap so I could do this more easily. The handle appears to be cast and it seems quite thick and strong at all parts, from what I could see. The strap looked like it had a woven core for high strength in tension in the center, with a consistent layer of rubber strap material formed on both sides of it. I didn't need it to give me a huge amount of torque, so I can't say how strong this would be for removing super stuck-on huge oil filters; I can only say I'd bet it would work great for those too.

Affordable / good tool it works well
I’ve been using this brand filter strap wrench for about 4 years now . I’m a diesel tech for an equipment rental company. I’m a field service tech I have a service truck and all day I go around doing PM service on diesel generators. These work great for small to medium sized filters. They are decent quality. I keep two of these on my service truck at all times and I have another one at the shop in my tool box . Over the past 4 years they have never broken or failed .
