Easy and long lasting
I can't believe how long the battery lasts on this thing. I use it every other day and haven't had to charge it in over a month yet (battery still shows 3 out of 4). Knives come out sharp.

KNIFE SHARPENER SCUFFED AND SCRATCHED MY KNIVES
This knife sharpener is terrible. First, when it came, I did not receive any instructions and when I contacted the seller they gave me a link to the Amazon video? Really?? I sent a second message to request instructions a second time and they sent them. Once I had in instructions I used the sharpener to sharpen a knife and found it difficult to get it in the slot at the correct angle to hear the grinding sound. Once I figured it out I slid my knife through stage 1 the recommended amount of times on instructions and then stage 2.. I was able to complete sharpening of the first knife. The second knife was an awful experience.. I started sharpening and for whatever reason, the sharpener kept stalling and shutting down. I had to flip the switch off and then back on again to get it to work. Mind you the device should only run 5 minutes at a time and I was mindful of this so I am certain it was not overheating.. it scratched and scuffed my knife terribly. I bought this sharpener specifically because the description states “even inexperienced people can sharpen the knife in a good performance.” I contacted the seller to ask for help and troubleshooting and the only information they offered was to use the sharpener to sharpen the blade when I need to and something about holding it steady? It was not clear… two responses from them with no actual help or information. I contacted Amazon and they are refunding me for the sharpener and the knives so I can get replacements. Also, after looking at reviews I noticed that some of the reviews are relating to other items so this seller is using this product page for different products to boost reviews. I would never advice purchasing… hope this is helpful.

Not enough power
The unit is temperamental if you push a little too hard the unit stops, not enough power. It does sharpen the knife okay, but if you lean the knife the wrong way it will scratch the sides of the knife. Lastly there is no way to empty the filings caused by the grinding. You have to tip it upside down and lots of metallic powder spills all over.

Worked but not powerful enough, scuffs the knife blade
It did put a nice hone on my kitchen knives but it scuffed them and overheated about every pass. I was able to easily cut through paper after sharpening my knives with this, which I could not do before after using my manual sharpener.

Sharp knives - finally!
My husband is always promising to get out his knife sharpening paraphernalia but it never happens. He was skeptical about an electric sharpener but this one made him a believer. Every knife in the house is sharp now, and in record time. He was having a lot of fun sharpening but the machine took a break to cool down after awhile - he thought it broke, but it was just over heated. This little machine will help keep our knives in great shape on a regular basis!

Excellent product
Easy to use , works as advertised. Motor shut off when hot works well, and it's a good safeguard against burning up the motor. I was having so much fun sharpening my kitchen knife set I didn't realize the motor was getting hot thanks to the shut off it protected the motor. Was able to use it just fine after the suggested cool down time had passed.

Junk.
It's junk. The battery does not charge and the power is not strong enough to turn the wheel against any pressure.

Angle of the blade and pressure applied moat important in sharpening process.
I'm glad to have this Professional Electric Knife Sharpener. When used properly, it produces a well-sharpened blade. I still need more practice, but as of now I have two issues: 1. The power turning the emery wheel seems inadequate. The motor stalls frequently and I have to hit the start button again. 2. It does not handle very small knives, scissors or serrated knives.
