Arrived fast, and started on first pull of 1991 Craftsman chipper/shredder B&S 5HP engine.
Brigss and Stratton 5HP engine on Craftsman Model 247.797851 chipper/shredder. My old carbureator lasted "only" 33 years. Having recently replaced the similar carburetor on my same-vintage tiller, I knew what to do when the chipper would not start a week after its last use. Ordered this carbureator on Saturday, and it was delivered Sunday around 3pm. Because of my recent tiller carb replacement, this was all familiar work and I had it installed quickly (being careful to take videos of linkages before disassembling the old carb helps a lot!). I gave it a spray of Blaster starter spray before first pull. It started on the first pull, and ran fine until I stopped it a short while later. You can't beat that for $20!Like others, I found that one of the four screw holes for the screws that hold the air cleaner tray to the top of the carb was not quite deep enough. Took a little extra muscle to make drive that screw all the way. Thought I might have to get my tap set out, but did not have to do that in the end.I would definitely buy this carbureator again. Nothing but a good experience so far.

Take your time to install , make sure all contacs are clean

Great quality replacment carburator.
I replaced my original with this one and my McLane mower worksgreat now.I did have to modify the gas pickup tube slightly so it would fit inside the gas tank.I removed the new tube that is compression fit inside the carburator and made it match my old pickup tube in length by shortening it by about 1/4 inch. Then deburred the tube where I made the cut on the metal part of the tube so it would tightly fit in the hole where it came from.Installation was easy. The fit was identical to OEM carburator excepting the pickup tube length. Excellent value.

Junk
Did not work. Ended up buying rebuild kit for old one. Carburetor adjustment screw was completely different with very loose thread.
